So Dan, what is the number of Meras represented in this thread? |

good question....off the top of my head say, 10+?? i am not sure because of things like....owners with More than one. (Nelson), rebodies (Nelson again and the fact we have seen so many on the Ebays and craigslists....that i cannot straighten them all out.....till i get some more printing paper and ink.
computers, i hate....they are good for the looking up of, reaserch, and a form of presentation, like a web site for Meras. but the documenting is gonna be old school. i plan to print every PFF page i can find and use the ole highlight marker to collect the good stuff.
at least one Picture of every PFF car and their owner if they want to be in the "Book". once i make one, then its just reproduction from there. its all about the paper..... like the Mera sales brouchure. too the point and colorful.
also, this will not happen till Winter....this is mostly indoor activities time. keeps me from going "Stir Crazy". crazy is bad enough. and i need something to kill the long cold winter months. Dan[This message has been edited by batousai666 (edited 07-31-2010).]

All,
What tire sizes are you running?
I have 265/50-15 on the rear and 245/50-15 on the front. These are old and square, but great tread. I understand Pep Boys is the only ones to carry the former and nobody sells the latter in a street tire.[This message has been edited by reholmes (edited 07-31-2010).]

Dick, I have BFG Radial TAs, P245/60R15 all around. Don't particularly like them, but they came with the car. Had to replace two of them (separate times) due to air bubbles under the tread. I think 50 series would fit the well a little better (side-to-side), but wouldn't the gap on the top be more? With the Mera lowered one inch, I believe 50 series would look awesome.
Mike, Dan...I just got brand new gas permeable contact lenses two weeks ago, and you just had to bring "IT" up again!! At least Dan made the photos thumbsize, so I was able to shield my eyes quickly!!
Here's what I count on this thread:
Rodney - 1 Batousai666 - 1 reholmes - 1 me - 1 Rick88 - 1 Joe1320 - 1 Julian - 1 GMplastic - 1 Mera7 - 1 Indiana_resto_guy - 3 hntomps - 3 (?)
Total: 15
Wish cofferon would post some pics here. He has a really nice Mera, and he modified the gas opening under the sail panel (it swings open).[This message has been edited by Fiero-in-Paradise (edited 08-01-2010).]

Since I got new visors, I'll offer these up to my fellow Mera owners before I put it on the Mall. Got these from FieroThomas...he does really nice work, but he does not replace the mirror, so these are plain-jane, no mirror on the passenger side. Plus, I was not totally happy with the stitching. Still yet, it's basically new material and foam...100% than the originals.
Edit: Just wanted to clarify that when I said I was not totally happy with the stitching, what I meant was I like the ones I found better (previous page). Just a personal thing with me...FieroThomas does fantastic work and his prices can't be matched.
I put them on a brown box so you can see the color contrast. NOT beechwood...more like tan. Also, that pivot mechanism (pin/sleeve) is in absolutely great condition. No need to over-tighten the adjustment screw on the visor, they stay up fine. I ensured that when these were re-done, that FieroThomas used the cores that I sent him from my Mera (with 28K miles).

Here's how they looked inside the Mera:

FieroThomas sells these for $55.00 shipped, plus he wants the cores shipped to him. These are a little too long to fit these in a flat-rate USPS box, so priority mail will probably cost around $20.00. So....I'm thinking $40.00 shipped. I'll wait until next week to post them in the Mall. Tom[This message has been edited by Fiero-in-Paradise (edited 08-03-2010).]

Wow...check out this Mera for sale. Relatively low miles, yellow, T-top, 5-speed, unmolested, $10K. I think its in San Diego.
Edit: Dang it, I can't get the link to work (its like a jillion characters long). Just go to Autotrader.com, and look for "1987 Used Pontiac Fiero." It's not listed as a Mera.[This message has been edited by Fiero-in-Paradise (edited 08-01-2010).]
