Hey, maybe mine is the knock-off!

I think a small operation like CC, probably doesn't have very mature manufacturing processes, nor a very long logistics tail, so some things like priming the panel reverse side, or small part consistency over the life of the product line, doesn't happen.

OBTW, a close look at my side grills shows they may have been painted with road tar! I may be doing some intricate color sanding. Another note: The lower panels behind the rear wheels on my car are black vice the red body color--why in the world. . . ?

Some time later--

OK, checked the hood and deck skins, they're riveted--found some more color sanding to be done!

I guess the reason my lower body panels are black; the panels and lower engine grill is all one piece. Not quite sure where I would mask it off to paint the red.

I have been playing with photo editor.

you know I just re-read the whole thread and I just have to say that Fiero in Paradises' paint in, them first pictures, looks like melted candy. soo deep and hard lookin'. you know thick. Mine looks like red water compared. shiney but thin.
His is just plain beatuiful.

Yeah, well, your paint is a lot better than mine. Nice thing about paint--easily redoable. OBTW, that's a perfect lower panel mask line.

Speaking of logos--I would like to design a large fender decal (ala the F-car), maybe gold/sliver on black or black on yellow ;-). Here's my first cut:

your a better colorer than I am. I tried a sliver to black background, I am a horriable colorer. not gonna even show you all cuz its real bad.

gotta do-over.

as far as size
4x5 or 5x6 would seem to work.

I don't color either--I can't stay inside the lines, and I press too hard and break my Crayolas.

I opened the gray and white one, which I created in PowerPoint using a logo from the web and a font named Bonk, using Gimp (a free equivalent of P'Shop) and let the software fill in the colors.
