Hello Bill.Just decided to come back here, and say that sometimes fighting fire with fire is not very productive. Yes, it gave me a bit of release to come back at you in the same way as you often go about things. But, just as using a stimulant tends to drop you as far below the norm as the dizzy heights it will raise you to above it, the aftermath once again proves it wasn't worth it after all. I know we have very fundemental differences, and those are inevitable in today's World. I can't agree with your modus operandi, and that feeling was re-enforced since I used it too. It was productive..in a negative way. Proved nothing, and caused unrest and disquiet amongst those it wasn't aimed at, and apparently had no effect upon the real target. And the bitter reality is,that I knew that beforehand.Still went against my better judgement, though. And to no avail.
I will discuss anything with anybody. I will listen, and if I think it worthy of changing my vision as a result, then I will.
So, that which I am trying to say is as follows.
I will reiterate a comment I made earlier, and so say once again that you DO have some legitimate views and comments, and I have read between the verbosity, and seen them.I expect many others do too. But, you DO obscure the sense and reality in those views, by antagonistic responses to legitimate queries and diametrically opposed views from others. My advice, and of course it is your perogative to listen and accept part, or all, or none of what I say, would be to understand that vehemence in putting across your ideas and views is good and neccessary to a certain level, and above that level is only counter-productive.
So,having thought long and hard about the things that went on here between you and I, I have opted to take a more adult and realistic attitude. I would prefer to let the mud and dust and general mayhem caused by our furore settle, and just try to be a little more adult, as befits my years on this earth.I don't ask, or expect, you to act in the same way..if you prefer to let disharmony continue it will have no bearing upon my decision.Your reciprocation is not demanded, or even politely asked for. What will be will be, and I am pretty sanguine about that
Anyway, I have revoked my negative rating, and returned it to a neutral. Because, in a strange sort of way, this thread did serve a purpose. My present attitude has allowed me to grow a little more, and for that I am grateful.
Nick
Edit to add: I will correct one of your stated opinons of me I am not, and have never been, a Bible-thumping, no-holds-barred Christian,as you stated. If you have ever read any of my posts on the subject, you will have seen that my God is Mother NAture..always was, and always will be.I regard the Bible as a well-illustrated, informative and sensible roadmap to guide us towards being responsible, helpful and kind Human Beings.I believe the All-powerful entity on this Earth IS Mother Nature. I also believe all human attempts to divert, adapt and generally meddle with Her will only hasten the end of us all.It will take time, but we are imposing frail Human ideologies to what was ordained BY Nature, and doing irreparable damage along the way.I have total faith in the way Nature works, and her ability to have provided every aspect of Life neccessary, since the beginning of time. And that is why I consider homosexuality to be a Human desrire to selfishly change the plan that Nature provided. The more we meddle, the more we reduce our chance of surviving. We were given the ability to improve, and the ability to distort, or misappropriate things in Life for our own selfishness, and wants. That is MY basis for believing. And that is what lead to my belief, many years ago, that homosexuality is a selfish, inconsiderate and foolhardy attempt to take what is wanted, rather than what is right. I fully believe that Nature, had She wished for us to indulge in it, would have provided a suitable, healthy and hygienic orifice as a receptacle for homosexuals to carry out their act of consumation. She didn't. In fact She made it potentially dangerous to our health, should we indulge.I am not prepared to be exposed to that health threat, be it by personal indulgence, or by the indulgence of any third party. In fact, I believe bi-sexuals are a greater threat to heterosexuals than homosexuals. I think it is irrefutable, that homosexuals spread aids amongst their own kind, at the onset of the disease.( Unfortunately, the innocent stand even more chance of being infected, through blood transfusions, and contact with infected objects or liquids.)That was a choice they decided to make, and a risk they may or may not have understood. Whichever way, the disease did start to be proliferated by homosexuals. And they posed virtually no threat to the health of heterosexuals, who define heterosexuality as 'normal'. They chose that way to live their lives, within their own community of homosexuality. Unfortunately, bi-sexuals, by being selfish enough to want to savour and enjoy both worlds, opened the door to the transferral of aids to heterosexuals by having sex with people from both parties. Innocent people, who thought there was no risk in sleeping with a person who, unbeknownst to them, was also currently, or had been, sleeping with homosexuals, suddenly were faced with the terrible news that they ,too, were infected. And may well have passed it on to even more 'innocent' people, because they did not realise they were infected too.
You want to see this in the context of a Car Forum? Here is another of my 'poor analogies' :
There are folk who love to race their cars against each other, and responsibly take their hobby to the racetrack, where the race is controlled, and normal car drivers are not subjected to the inherent dangers of racing cars.It is conducted in their own environment, away from people who choose to drive their cars in the way they were originally designed..transport.Now, my conception of this is as follows.
. Both parties are entitled to indulge their passions or needs, and do so with no adverse effect on the OTHER party.they are being responsible. However, there are some who go to the racetrack and watch, and want to indulge too..but selfishly take it to the public highway, thereby endangering both themselves, and other innocent people. They are irresponsible. Now, if some people get hurt or even killed in a racetrack accident, normal people will feel sympathy, and be sad. However, when those selfish people start to bring the racetrack to the public domain, and somebody gets injured or killed, then the sadness and sympathy turns to anger, and outrage at their selfishness.I am one of those innocents who tries to drive responsibly, as far as is possible, and as decreed by Law.. And I am one of those, also, who get mad and enraged, when innocent people get harmed because of somebody else's indifference, and selfishness, and self-indulgence.
If you want to argue these personal concepts, feel free. I am willing to listen and evaluate opposing views. Unfortunately, you might not get anywhere with converting mine. They are based, IMHO, on sound thinking, not semantics.
Nick
PS Bill..your last post showed you were trying to get your spelling right. Very successful, and much more readable..and this is NOT intended to be condescending at all. The small mistakes? Talents. And, I believe, Puerto Rican, but I may be wrong on that Pointed out in good faith, not derision. If your posts are well constructed, and the spelling is virtually correct, it lends a lot more credence to that which you are trying to say, imho.
Thanks
Nick.

Good morning.
Let me try to explain myself. When I read someones post I don't read it like a recipie <----- note: Instead I read it as a symphony. Each word is an ingreadient that when combined makes a cake so to speek. I eat the cake and my reply is an expression.. an opinion of the flavor. I am a very smart man though I am not an educated man. One does not need to be educated to understand his lot in life or have the ability to accept it. I accept mine without contestation but I do contest others who feel otherwise.. I will do battle with them until I can not fight any longer. I have nothing to loose they have everything to gain as do I. So what I do and how I do it is not just for my benefit.

When I was a kid I wasnt allowed to get muddy because I wouldn't be allowed back into the house. Just because I wasn't allowed back into "my house" that didn't mean I wasnt allowed back into someone elses. There is something to be said about those who are willing to allow the rabel in and get cleaned up. I've never though that the earth was a bad place and to this day even in analogy I never think mud is bad as long as there is a place to clean up. My "tirade" may have been the shaking of the sifter but is serves to make oneself aware of the separation that does exist. My reciprocal stand remains just as yours does... our positions are irrealivant.

I am not, and have never been, a Bible-thumping, no-holds-barred Christian,as you stated

Neither am I. But I do use everything I know to my advantage. I may have replied directly to you and your post but you are not the only one who reads it. You are a pawn just like everyone else.. myself included. I have NO IDEA why but I just know. Again.. I just step and I know where I'm stepping is the right place.. How? I simply can not explain. We are like water. The issues we discuss here are like rocks. The ripple is the effect that spreads from the point of impact. One molocule of H2o came into contact with and was displaced by the rock.. sometimes it's you... sometimes it's me... sometimes it's another. Just because I reply to you does not mean that I am talking to you directly.. this world is FULL of other people who can hear.. see.. touch.. taste.. smell... all are connected to the brain and are translated into FEELINGS. Some can do it individually.. some can use all at once by the benefit of only one sense. The blind man can see with his ears and often times far better than one with eyes that can see perfectly. I have perfect second sight. Am I a gift from god or freak of nature? I don't know but I do know they are one and the same.

quote

I have total faith in the way Nature works, and her ability to have provided every aspect of Life neccessary, since the beginning of time.

Then you do believe in god so to speek. god is the sum total of this universe, we are a part of it weather we believe or not.

Thomas Jefferson was a great teacher and he believed in nature and the natural aspects of mankind. His particular religion is not known to me but I know what he knew and thats why I quote him as often as I do... but he isn't the only teacher wise enough to know how to communicate.

quote

Being human is a fact of nature. We are only selfish to our need to survive. Being "accepted" is a very important aspect of being human. Without eachothers help we will not survive. If the mold rots the tree, the tree will die and so will the mold eventually once the tree has gone. It's natural.... but if the mold does not rot the tree, they both survive. You have to look very carefuly to see how it works.

PS Bill..your last post showed you were trying to get your spelling right.

LOL
I wasn't trying at all.. I can assure you it was a mistake on both our parts.

Success is a measure regardless of intent. Intent is what makes us good or bad but you have to know the difference.

My brother often times speeks to me and uses the phrase "can you feel me?" I always say yes I do. Sometimes it's not the words he says that make the impact of what he is saying clear. I trust him enough to know I will recieve the message in some way by means of another sense. My brother is literally from another world but we communicate with clairity. He is my brother because we are cut from the same cloth, we are the same people. We all are the same people. Some good... some bad. My brother is good.. all my brothers are good. The odd thing about my brother is he IS younger than me but he is actually much older and he is a good and well respected teacher.

Just watch for my reply, you will recieve it and when you do it will come as a surprise... a very pleasent surprise. Look for it today. You'll "see".

The mistake would have been the use of proper spelling.

Always.. If it wasn't in good faith I would have read it long before I got to this point and would have pointed it out.

If your posts are well constructed, and the spelling is virtually correct, it lends a lot more credence to that which you are trying to say, imho.
Thanks

My posts are always well constructed as are all the ones I read. I don't read anything into them, just recieve from them and reply.

My favorit post of all time is constructed of pure perfection. It may not be obvious to the reader but the instant I read it I knew I was not alone. I am not invisable. The "flames" of my "fire" attracted someone and he came into my camp and he knew me. He is one of my brothers; found after so long of wandering alone in the wilderness. To this day it brings tears to my eyes to know that I am not alone and that day was the first day of the rest of my life. Others have followed and I myself began seeking. I have found and have been found.

I don't know if this post makes any sense to you... but you are the white board on which I am writing and I thank you for your very precious time.

EDIT: in bold

To provoke a response. Why?
Becouse it gets your head moving in directions it's not used to. It forces you to contemplate that all the problems of the world are a jumble of incoherant fiction, nonfiction, fantisey, and singularly unique perseptions.
The fabric of human exsistance is not tightly woven, and pulling on one thread cannot unravel it.
Rather, it is a tangled, jumbled mess, and the more you pull at it and try to straiten it out, the tighter the tangle becomes.

Can he rant? - Yes
Can he rave? - Yes
Can he be incoherant? - Yes
Can he be conterdictory? - Yes

But i find his post's ingaging.
Kindda like that guy on the street corner wearing one shoe, with tin foil wrapped around his head, yelling something about super intellagent insects putting spacedust in our cream of wheat so they can steal our brainwaves to power up a weapon that will turn all our goldfish against us!
I LOVE that guy!
Becouse, ya see, without him, it's just a street corner

And that,/\, in a way, was why I thought about everything here, and other places, and decided that it would be ignorant not to come back and be a little more adult,..and at LEAST try to put a little more harmony in this thread. I thank you for reading all that I posted, and responding as you did. Would have been SOOOO easy for us both to either ignore each other, or just to keep on ranting. Instead, we seem to have wandered back on the same path, even if we are going in opposite directions

LOL
I'm an adult by the number of times I have spun around the sun.. but I am as young and immature as a teenager discovering that his peepee is kind of nifty. I know the part it is supposed to fit into but hell man... I can find other things that work just as well and are MUCH MUCH less prone to destroying me. So does it really matter where I put it as long as I feel comfortable putting it there?

Heady sheit huh? LOL.

I'm sure you are but be aware of that direction, I am too. There is more than one road leading to rome and more than one leading out from it. Myself I'm headed to Babalon and then back to where I live. I often pass through Saddam and Gamorah just to see what I can pick up for my trip.. You see It's a loooooong trip across the desert and I need supplies. You will find me camped just outside the walls. I don't stay inside because thats not my home.. I just visit, drink, smoke.... "eat" and be on my way. I need sustanence as we all do so don't judge me a Sadomite. There is purpose for their existance and I do not compel them to change because without them... I would be lost and in need of another cammel... They be spensive!

PS..there is too much incongruity between many peoples' concept of 'God' (ie a kind of ephemeral 'Being' that we can talk to, is how I was brought up to believe), and the concept of the power of Nature , which is intangible, and yet everywhere, at all times , and yet doesn't exist in any one form, and can't be prayed to, or asked bounty of, or special treatment, or protection etc etc. You RESPECT Nature, and you won't get hurt, if you abide by Nature's Laws . Get in her way, and she won't punish you..you will be crushed, eventually, by her omnipotent power. She has to follow her rules, and they are unswervable.Live on the side of a Volcano? One day, you will probably be swept away in a torrent of Lava. Live in the drainage bowl of a vast body of water? One day she WILL sweep you away.No matter how long we try to divert her path, we will never beat her. That is why Mother Nature is the defining power in my life..always has been since I can remember, and always will be. And to accept this belief in every place on Earth would, to ME, be the end of Human against Human strife, for ever. Forget Allah, God, Muhammed in the way we see them now, and allow them to morph into each other, and assume one identity, which is Mother Nature. We all have earth, air, water, sand trees, flowers birds etc etc...in one form or another. Let everybody appreciate that beauty, that repose, that magnitude, and than unsurmountable power.Live our lives WITH her, not in contention. Then none of us would be swept away, except the foolhardy, thoughtless and selfish.
My World. My concept. My happiness, which I experience every day,by just looking out my window. I am in the Church of my belief. and it matters not, where that window ,is in the World. Because the World is my Church.
Sorry to go on..just a fair amount of clarity has come into my life recently. Bringing peace and joy.')

Political correctness has dictated this post be altered.
However, there's no changing the fact that it does exist just under the noses of those who look down on it.
