Dwi. Offloading. Happened in Novenber. I don't understand how now he's in jail.
AFAIK, he is not currently in jail. He was arrested back in November but released. The news about the arrest just now made it to the front pages. His 1st court hearing is later this month.
This story is typical of the way "News" is lately - Either he was "swaying" while being checked out by the cops because he was so "faced", or he only had 1-2 shots with some fans (who offered it to him) and the cops pulled him over immediately.
He refused the Breathalyzer, and later (no info as to how MUCH later) his BAC was .02.

Throw in the fact that the incident happened months before the stupor bowl, but Jeep did not cancel him until the story went public (coincidentally, just days after the game) and you have it nailed.
To tell the truth, when I saw the ad, I had no idea who the guy was. I couldn't figure out why they had some guy who was supposed to portray a tough, self reliant American man wearing an ear ring. I figured maybe it was some kind of concession to the LGBLTMSNBC contingent. I never cared much for Brucey boy or his music: //www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum6/HTML/123522.html

When did Jeep know and what did they know? Were they aware of the arrest prior to the SB and early enough to pull the plug on the ad?
According to 'news' Jeep said they only learned about the arrest on Tuesday or Wed after the SB, and they said they learned about the same way most people did. from news articles.

Jeep has pulled a high-profile advert featuring Bruce Springsteen from YouTube after it emerged the veteran rockstar was facing a drink-driving charge.
The singer (71) was arrested on November 14 in a part of the Gateway National Recreation Area on the New Jersey coast, a representative for the US National Park Service said.
Springsteen is accused of driving while under the influence, reckless driving and consuming alcohol in a closed area.
The news came after he appeared in his first-ever advert, promoting a message of national unity in a Jeep commercial shown during Sunday’s Super Bowl.
The car giant has now removed the advert from YouTube and said “drinking and driving can never be condoned”.
A representative for Jeep said: “It would be inappropriate for us to comment on the details of a matter we have only read about and we cannot substantiate.
“But it’s also right that we pause our big game commercial until the actual facts can be established.
This is typical of what has been reported, tho I'm not a follower at all of TMZ.

TMZ was first to report the November arrest of the New Jersey native. News of the arrest surfaced just days after Springsteen was featured in a Super Bowl commercial for Jeep.
By 1 p.m., the Super Bowl commercial had been pulled off Jeep's YouTube page and from its official Twitter page. The message on YouTube reads: "Video unavailable. This video is private." Springsteen still has the commercial posted on his Twitter account.
