Houston released JJ Watts today. A mutual separation. He wants a ring.
One local news source says Tom Brady has already called him. "Come to Tampa".
Most likely desination would be Pittsburgh or Dallas, assuming Pittsburgh can fit him in under the cap.

Yeah, I saw that. Personally, I'm hoping he goes with KC. I'm also thinking that would not surprise you.
But, I've not heard anything about KC courting him.

Bills, Packers, Bucs, Titans, Seahawks, Cowboys, Steelers, Colts, Rams, Bears,Ravens and a couple others have all expressed interest in JJ today.
I still think he will go to the Steelers, but being close to Wisconsin where he grew up might make Green Bay more likely.

But, (there's always a but) if he wants a ring, KC is a good option.

Maybe, if they shore up their Oline significantly and explain to their receivers the objective is not to see how many balls they can bounce off their helmets.
mabe jj can be transferred to an offensive lineman and plug that porous offensive line. Every NFL team now knows how to beat the chiefs. Pressure Mahomes hard and often. No superbowl has ever been won scoring zero touchdowns and only 9 points.

You have some valid points.

As has been said many times, offense wins games, defense wins championships.

Tampa Bay defense scored zero points last Sunday.
It matters none at all how good a team's defense is if their offense can't score touchdowns in the big games.
Until Superbowl Sunday, Buc's defense was ranked 7th overall in the NFL and had allowed more points than any other top 10 team during the regular season.
(19th in red-zone percentage and 22nd in passing yards per game)
Buc's defense isn't all that good. but their coaching for that game was and of course.. Brady. He excels in finding open receivers and avoiding turnovers. Antonio Brown ran the wrong route and Brady still found him for a td.
The Saint's defense was ranked #1 when the Chiefs beat them, but Mahomes threw for 3 TDs in that game.

Mahomes is young yet, just 3 years in the league and simply isn't anywhere near Brady's level. Might be someday, but I doubt he will ever have 7 rings.

KC's offensive line and downfield pass coverage really IS that bad. The only 2 big whuppins the Chiefs put on teams all season were against the 2-14 Jets and the 5-11 Broncos.

KC is going to face some hard decisions on defense in the off season because of free agency PLUS having to do something with that o line.

See it how ever you wish. Obviously, much like many other perspectives, neither of our opinions are gonna change.

JJ Watts is going to Arizona for a reported $31 million/ $23 million guaranteed payday on a 2 yr contract. Houston QB Deshaun Watson will never play another down in a Texan uniform either.
Will he join former Texans Watts and DeAndre Hopkins?
Doubtful since Cardinals already have a good QB.

Good luck JJ. We'll miss ya.

Can't say much about Watson, he hasn't made the news much anywhere I've lived but Watts will be a (potential) huge game changer to any defense he joins up with. Watts (from what I've read) has been nothing but a great player and a huge asset to his team, community and the NFL. I'm sure he'll be greatly appreciated in AZ.
(He would have been even more appreciated in KC)

Finally took my KC flag down for the season last week end but, it's ready to fly high again this coming fall. It flies every year, regardless of how they (we) do.

I understand that Alex Smith is going to become available. Not sure if he's what Houston is looking for but, it appears he's a very good QB and will be looking for a new home.
