5 days ago, Iran boarded & captured a S. Korean tanker and forced it into an Iranian port so I would hazard the guess Willie, that 'they' are already emboldened.

Generally speaking, (pun intended) I don't have much problem with retired military officers in politics, but from the moment he returned from Viet Nam as a Major, Colin Powell has considered himself to be one of the "elite perfumed princes of the puzzle palace", which he later officially became and he was up to his eyebrows in civilian politics long before he took the uniform off.
Accordingly, it is no surprise that General Powell has perfect 20 / 20 hindsight.

Nobody would believe W or Cheney for certain. The Deep State knew it had to be Colin to present the false intel.
Current day: The Deep State is going to kick off a skirmish to quell the domestic resistance. A provocation is nothing and will be created when the 'counter attack' is timed accordingly. Storming the Congress and making them scurry to the tunnels probably solidified the provocation plans in the near term because 'they' can't have the American people focusing their anger on those responsible. Gotta redirect it, like when Clinton bombed an aspirin factory due to getting a Lewinsky in the Oval Office.
Iran knows there is no winning for them and no legitimate provocation will come from their government.
Israel does not need anyone's permission and probably.

I've about had enough of everything that crawled out of the middle east 5,000 years ago. Muslums. Jews. Bible thumpers....worst thing to ever happen happen to this planet, and it all started with a bunch of sand-apes 5,000 years ago fighting about thier god with Egypt.
I'm sure if they pour enough money, and look hard enough, they might find somebody who gives a crap about any of it.
