Since most of my retailers for the printed stuff are closed with lockdown, and I am house-bound looking after Kim mostly, I figured I'd start a build of a highly modded sliding Legolini. Its a long (50+ hours) print and mostly set-and-forget so is a perfect project to keep my brain occupied in a productive way. AND its more fun than just building up valentines inventory and HOPING things are normal by then). I'm fitting it in between facebook orders for stuff.
https://legolini.com/I'm switching out the front end to the V2 long-arms
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4500359and doubling up on the power bands
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4445045The magazine assembly stays stock, and the slider is going to the V2 pistol grip (that's on the legolini web page)
And the rear grip is going to the pistol-grip style
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4313904Since I need 50cm overall length to stay legal here, I am TRYING (trying, sob
) to adapt this brace to the pistol grip. (this machine wont run Fusion or any decent 3d modeling software...pssssttt, anybody wanna help me out ?)
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2849091And for optics I'm going with both reflex and laser.
These things are NOT toys, with a broadhead they are just as lethal as any crossbow, and fire as fast (if not faster) as any bolt-action rifle. Actually, for people who live in places where your guns have to be locked up, these make pretty damn viable home-defense options. Wild turkeys dont stand a chance
I'll post pics as the build goes along. Here is the left arm 7 hours into a 9-hour job. The whole thig is being done 4 walls thick with 40% gyroid infill. Should be strong enough.
