Something to note. It seems the unrest in cities is designed in part to make those who believe in (among other things), self sufficiency and capitalism, (conservatives) to move from the cities. Exiting likely along with businesses (jobs).
This will eventually result in the cities being filled with a remaining higher percentage of people looking for the government to take care of them. Guess what they vote for? The government to take care of them.
What is the result of this? The reason for this? The larger cities mass populations influence on election results.
I've never had a problem helping look after those who need it. You 'mericuns hate our socialized medicine, but fact is very few to none mind paying a few percent so some kid we never met can get access to cancer treatment or an organ transplant. Or some guy broken beyond functionality can have a roof and 3 squares. That's the way community is supposed to work. Centuries ago the church did it, but they are out of the picture mostly so its up to us to take on that responsibility.
I do however have serious problem with those who wont try. The career welfare, the dopers, the wiminz who plan 40 years by popping one out every year. The gamers and influencers who want to coast. NO. Get off your ass and do SOMETHING, I dont care what, volunteer to cook some meals at a shelter, SOMETHING useful in life. Those type burn my balls.

From the 24:30 min mark - Why "The West" is a miracle. Never forget who we are, and why.
Its no surprise why the strange issues we deal with now are happening, we are so many steps off track we don't even know there was a track, my guess is just hearing someone talk about some of the things in this vid are so strange, that it shocks some people or makes them turn it off. Talking like this used to be normal.
From the 12 min mark - Will history repeat itself? "There is no God you get your rights from the state" From the 31 min mark, history of BLM. "The issue is never the issue, the issue is always the revolution." Destroying evidence of history, aiming to tear down our identity.
"I get my rights from a source higher than the state".

All times are uncertain, and always have been. There are no guarantees or free rides in this world, tho many people do play the sytems and get their little taxpayer funded govt stipends. I've always found it odd tho, that so many that get that free mailbox money are often the ones whining loudest about others getting the same kind of freebies.
These “socialism” videos are a lot like simulation videos; real people, fake everything else.
Anyone can imagine anything they want. That don’t make it so.
The moniker “socialism” has become a catch-all for anything the user thinks he’s pretty sure he doesn’t believe in.
Until tested...
I'm unclear on your point.
Interesting alalysis, because socialism sounds appealing to some, until tested.
This thread presents how we humans got to socialism in the past. Origins and principles too. It also references some things going on today that head down that path. This thread is also about the opposite of socialism. A compare and contrast is left up to the reader / viewer. This maybe unlike today's "news" which tells you what to think. The words do have meanings. Which points do you disagree with?

"The Socialism that Donald Trump likes" Experience it in Internet Video Playback Mode in the comfort of your own home, office, or perhaps a car, truck or SUV (provided you're not driving.) video playback link
This is MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell presenting a mashup of AOC, Michael Cohen, Lawrence O'Donnell himself, and a scene from the recent TV episodic drama series "The West Wing"
The part about Socialism starts just before 2 minutes into the 6+ minute complete presentation.
--> I have just taken the "liberty" of duplicating one of my Pennock's posts from some time ago now. It was in a topic that didn't waste any time in referencing the name of "Squad Stalwart" and Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
Can you guess how that topic was set up or titled? "Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez"Spoiler Alert
Bet you didn't see that coming. (I did not start that thread. So I could not have given it that Topic name.)

Any comments or rebuttals on the actual things going on that mirror how countries were led to socialism and murderous dictatorships in the past? Or just pointing "don't look here, look over there" AOC found Donald Trumps golf course?

I added up the duration of all of the videos that you posted here, all the way up until I came in.
Wherever you offered a suggestion, like "start at the 30 minute mark," I took that into account. So if that were a 60 minute video, I counted it as just 30 minutes.
It's a total of 4 hours and 30 minutes of video that you have put on display here.
Is there exactly one moment or one clearly separable "point" in each such video that you could single out as the best or most important thing about that video?
What (if you don't mind my asking) is the process that draws you to these particular videos?
It all looks very theoretical, for the most part. What do you see happening in your own life that makes you want to "sound" these alarms about Socialism?
Here's where I'm "coming from."
quote
Existentialism is not a philosophy, but a mood embracing a number of disparate philosophies; the differences among them are more basic than the temper which unites them. This temper can be described as a reaction against the static, the abstract, the purely rational, the merely irrational, in favor of the dynamic and concrete, personal involvement and engagement, action, choice and commitment, the distinction between authentic and inauthentic existence, and the actual situation of the existential subject as the starting point of thought. Beyond this the so-called existentialists divide according to their views on such matters as phenomenological analysis, the existential subject, the intersubjective relation between selves, religion, and the implications of existentialism for psychotherapy ...
Insofar as one can define existentialism, it is a movement from the abstract and the general to the particular and the concrete ...
Of course, I'm only "there" when I manage to rise above my baseline or default condition, which closely resembles the mindless, stochastic perturbations of a dust mote, buffeted by even the most imperceptible of air currents.

Seeing what is going on in this world. (See next paragraphs) Searching for ways to spread truth.
Whats happening in my own life is witnessing the world and what is happening, it no doubt sets off alarm bells and red flags.
Check out many of the videos I have shared in the past of Jordan Peterson's warnings of socialism, post modernism, and the destruction of western culture.
The acceptance of Bernie and AOC and other leftists. The indoctrination of kids that began in colleges and now happens even in elementary school. The embracing by our youth of tactics such as supressing free speech. Opportunistic political leaders whom never let a crisis go to waste. Antifa, BLMs marxist agenda, the tearing down of American history....an awful lot that is going on.
As they say those who will not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
Check out my Whats so special about the USA thread too.

I wonder (if you don't mind, again) if you believe that--well, do you have children in school?--if so, do you think that your own children are being "brainwashed" or inundated with ideas and curricula that are antithetical to the America that you want to see?
It's not a question I could respond to, myself.
