Interesting. I wanted to know what that reddish liquid was in the intake, as I didn't think it belonged there. (Reminded me of ATF.) So I read down through the comments until it was addressed by the video uploader...

...if you notice the oil is red, I traced the problem after I finished the video, it turned out to be the low pressure vacuum switch for the power steering pump, it's bypassing the oil from the power steering pump into the hose that goes to the intake manifold.

Sounds awesome from inside the intake. Almost sounds like an older F1 car...

Too bad he had to do this on the street. Could have just as easy put the car on a dyno and did a couple of pulls.
Glad there were no Nuns with boxes of kittens crossing the street.

The "newer" (last 20 years?) F1 and/or Indy cars sound like gigantic mosquitoes suffering from 'roid rage ... and are about as irritating. Not a pleasant sound. Much prefer the rumble of a classic V8.

Yeah, I've kind of stopped watching F1. I watched it religiously from the mid 90s through until maybe... 3-4 years ago.

The switch to the Turbo V6 really kind of did it for me. The goal was to slow the cars down of course... but maybe make the track safer... we WANT to see the cars go faster and do things more amazing. The constructor championship is as important to me as the driver.

The video I posted above goes through the V12s, V10s, and V8s.

I still remember when the V10s and V8s competed concurrently. They allowed a rev-limited V10, and the uncapped V8. It was pretty cool... the V10s dominated pulling out of the curves, but when given the opportunity, the V8s would pass the V10s on the straights.
