I found this to be rather fascinating. The technology involved is incredible.

For me the key thing gets mentioned a few minutes in.....the Unreal Engine. I remember when that technology was first introduced and I bought a PC game that used it. It taxed the hell out of my processor and video card but was SO realistic.

My issue with green screens are hot spots. They are always a pain to eliminate and when you do, you may not have the light level that you need.

I'm not a gamer, but I was glad to hear that this technology is finally being implemented for something useful. Just yanking your chain.

In the video, they mentioned the problem of "Spill"... which is when the green of the screen reflects off of actual objects on the set. I've worked a little bit with green screen while shooting video, and I can understand why green showing up where it isn't supposed to be would certainly screw things up!
