Buff right out...

It's hard for me to post in here and not feel obligated to go off on you from your other comments in other threads. Never the less, this was interesting, and thanks for posting it.

Why?
I didn't "go off" on you.
I gave you my blunt opinion of your "thought process".

I didn't bring your wife, job, your looks, or any of your personal information into it.
Hell, I didn't even call you a name.

In fact, I actually like your clarity of thought when expressing what you believe in.
I just disagree with your conclusions.

If I came across as a bit rough, I thought that's what most here appreciated.
It seems to even be respected.

Listen, I could be wrong.
All I have to go on is other's reaction here when it was used as a way to communicate with me.

It's obviously better than allowing a fire to consume everything in its path... but damn, I had no idea that retardant drop itself could be so damaging!

I wonder if the drop from a water bomber is as destructive?

It all depend on release height.
Top video was way low at a training/show site. IOW = to Crush a car for a Monster Truck show.

Bottom is more accurate/real and still can do some damage like knock off some roof tiles.
They want more coverage from a drop in this example w/o major damage.

Plus many assume only water and agent is loaded...
Might have crap, small rocks, etc. depending water source and pump types.
You have "fire buckets" under Helicopter etc that might pickup crap too.
I won't want to be hit by "water" even release at higher altitude.
