We have more than 70. If we sent our entire fleet to china, we could surround the entire country of Hong Kong with a wall of awesomeness.

3 - Planes... their Air Force is a ****ing joke... and I use those explicit words on purpose. The bulk of their air fleet is made up outright of US, Russian, and Canadian planes that they've converted. All of their own designs are based almost entirely on stolen US and reworked Russian designs. At best, their planes are only AS good as some of ours, at worse, their best planes are far worse than the US counterparts that they were stolen from 10+ years ago.


China is a complete ****ing joke of a military... and if the United States went head-to-head with China, they'd lose nearly every battle from sheer might alone.

China's best defense in their ambitions, is that the United States and other countries likely wouldn't do **** to fight them off, and that's the real problem. China has been allowed to do whatever they want for as long as they want, without any repercussions.

China's military might be a joke to you, but here's the punchline:

They invade & take over Hong Kong. What are we going to do? Nothing. They know this.

They invade & take over Taiwan. What are we going to do? Invade ourselves? Not a pretty picture. Would it even be possible to dislodge the Chinese from Taiwan if they put in 500,000 troops? We'd end up killing more Taiwanese than Chinese. We would "liberate" a scorched graveyard, at the cost of tens of thousands of our own soldiers. So America would do this math and shrug and say, "Not worth it."

The Chinese aren't stupid. And they don't think next year, or next election. They think next decade. Next century. They can buy or steal all the tech they need. They have time. They'll keep getting bigger and stronger, while side-lineing the USA into irrelevance.

If the situation is as you claim and they wanted to take Taiwan they would have done it long ago.
