It's a software "mod" that Ford is testing for model year 2013 to 2019 Police Interceptor Utility vehicles that uses the vehicle's engine and cabin HVAC to heat the air to 133F and maintain that for 15 minutes to disinfect the contact surfaces or touchpoint inside the vehicle.

For Arizona (seeing what "williegoat" just posted) the software may have to adjust the HVAC to COOL the air inside the vehicle to 133F.

Seems good on paper and Ford makes good PR during current News Cycle...

Normally The high temp alone is not a problem to any car.
Vehicle temp while Parking goes much higher and for hours.
Example: https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum2/HTML/141784.html near bottom.

But I wonder if Cop's electronic things like running in a hot cabin.
Laptops Radios and more can fail in hot places because can't cool parts inside of them. Even for a few minutes may cause a CPU to "Crash" etc w/o destroying them.

Heat rises when parked but this uses Heat/AC blower and likely won't have cooler area so electronics mounted low will likely see higher temps. (Including many BCM, "Air bag" module, etc installed at the factory.)
Example: Often my dash cams crash if left on while parked even an hour as cabin temp raises. I keep the Arduino temp logger and USB battery "brick" on the floor so keep cooler during the test above.

Many K9 cars have AC on and auto PW down if AC fails to protect the K9.
