A Fresno, California waffle restaurant dared to open its doors for business this weekend to the delight of a long line of customers, who waited up to two hours for the “privilege” of willingly spending their money in a business happy to serve them breakfast on Mother’s Day. This freedom of voluntary transaction is the core of what we used to call our free society. But in an America paralyzed by fear – ramped up by a mainstream media that churns out propaganda at a level unparalleled in history – no one is allowed to enjoy themselves.
Thankfully everyone carries a smartphone these days and can record and upload the frequent violations of our Constitutional liberties. In the case of the waffle restaurant, thanks to a cell phone video we saw the police show up in force and try to push through the crowd waiting outside. An elderly man who was next in line to enter was indignant, complaining that he had been waiting two hours to eat at the restaurant and was not about to step aside while the police shut down the place. The police proceeded to violently handcuff and arrest the man, dragging him off while his wife followed sadly behind him to the police car.
It is hard not to be disgusted by government enforcers who would brutally drag an elderly man away from a restaurant for the “crime” of wanting to take his wife out for breakfast on Mother’s Day. A virus far more deadly than the coronavirus is spreading from Washington down to the local city hall. Tin pot dictators are ruling by decree while federal, state, and local legislators largely stand by and watch as the US Constitution they swore to protect goes up in smoke.
Politicians with perfect haircuts issue “executive orders” that anyone cutting hair for mere private citizens must be arrested. In Texas a brave salon owner willingly went to jail for the “crime” of re-opening her business in defiance of “executive orders.” To add insult to injury, Governor Greg Abbott very quickly condemned the one week jail sentence of salon owner Shelley Luther – but the officers who arrested her were only carrying out Abbott’s own orders!
First we were told we had to shut down the country to “flatten the curve” so that hospitals were not overwhelmed by coronavirus patients. When most hospitals were nowhere near overwhelmed, and in fact were laying off thousands of healthcare workers because there were no patients, they moved the goalposts and said we cannot have our freedom back until a vaccine was available to force on us or the virus completely disappeared – neither of which is likely to happen anytime soon.
Many politicians clearly see the creeping totalitarianism but lack the courage to speak out. Thankfully, patriots like Shelley Luther are demonstrating the courage our political leaders lack.
When Patrick Henry famously said “give me liberty or give me death” in 1775, he didn’t add under his breath “unless a virus shows up.” If we wish to reclaim our freedoms we will have to fight – peacefully – for them. As Thomas Paine wrote in 1776, “These are the times that try men’s souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands by it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman.”

Oh, there is absolutely no question in my mind. The Democrats are so happy this is happening right now. With Democrats, it's all about power and control. The past 3.5 years have been devastating to them... absolutely devastating. They will do anything they possibly can to hurt Trump, with absolutely no concern whatsoever if that means also hurting the country (which it usually does). They immediately go against Trump, even when he's doing the very thing they recommended a day earlier... for the sole purpose of creating discontent and confusion.
I truly, truly believe Democrat politicians seek the destruction of our country. I absolutely 100% believe that they think there is no way for their preferred style of Government to function under the existing Constitution, and they will do anything they absolutely can to destroy the foundation of our system of laws so that they may re-write it to their benefit.
The US Constitution is the ONLY system of laws that was written from the bottom up with rights dictated from the people to Government, stating what the Government is allowed to do and where the boundary is. Every other legal construct is written from the top down... that is, the elite telling the populace what they are allowed to do and dictating to the populace what their granted rights are.
This is 100% antithetical to the ideology of what has become of Democrats today. Democrats believe in putting everyone into categories and segregating them... just like they did in this country's past when they created the KKK, Eugenics (forced sterilization of blacks), Jim Crowe Laws, Interment camps, etc. Everything they do and say is completely opposite of reality. The entire existence of the Democrat party lately has been one of sheer irony. Even things like every time a Republican becomes president, they say the world is going to get nuked... yet... the only American president to ever use a nuclear weapon during war time was a Democrat president. They still persist their same racist behaviors today... segregating blacks, Hispanics, and other minorities into neat categories for exploitation. Planned Parenthood for example, ONLY exists in predominantly black neighborhoods. Democrats will say... "These are the people who need them." But Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, created the organization for the sole purpose of reducing the population of African Americans. Literally, she implemented the practice of eugenics where by she would literally sterilize black women, and force abortions on black women. The Democrats continue, to this day, the exploitation of minorities by trying to keep them poor. Their policies ALWAYS... ALWAYS hurt minorities, *ALWAYS* Alternately, Trump's economy had led to record employment of all minority groups... and quality careers with wage growth for the first time in decades. Democrats freaked out, telling us that "wage growth" was bad, even when they've been talking about stagnant wages for decades. They finally get what they want, and suddenly it's a bad thing.
I have just never seen a more corrupt group of people who are so thirsty for power, that they've completely forgotten why they were elected in the first place. What's worse is the completely idiotic people who continue to vote for them, all while things continue to get worse. They ignore everything going on... collapsing economy, eroding rights, and focus on dumb things like which bathroom people can use.
The problem with the Democrat party is that they survive on failure. When there are no victims left, the Democrat party has no one left to exploit and thus becomes irrelevant.
Sorry if I'm offending anyone, but this is 100% how I truly feel. I absolutely feel this way with every fiber of my being. I used to be a Democrat, but today's Democrat party has changed so much in fact, that it's unrecognizable. Donald Trump is basically Bill Clinton. In almost every facet of his governing style, Trump is Bill Clinton... he just didn't marry a psychopath. This is why I get so frustrated with Democrats. Trump is literally everything they've been asking for. He's mostly pro-union, he's for the middle class and "working poor" as they say, supporting tariffs and many other centrist-Democrat ideologies that Republicans have typically been against. The Democrat party is completely unrecognizable to me today. Only ~20 years have passed since Clinton stepped out of office. I never changed... but the Democrats have.

Yeah, I always thought that Truman wanted to nuke some Japanese cities as a favor to the unions. The Japanese civil engineering and construction trade unions. Set them up for some big urban renewal and neighborhood reconstruction contracts. Except that I never thought that there were Japanese labor unions at that time, but I've never really looked into that. Well, there were going to be Japanese labor unions after the war.
Democrats and labor unions. It's a no-brainer.

The labor union "leaders" are still Democrats, because they are heavily influenced financially and influence financially the Democrat political establishment. But the heart of their workforce are centrist pro-American workers. Essentially, the type of people that voted for Kennedy, Reagan, Clinton, and Trump. The SEIU... you know, the California-esque union is definitely Democrat, but that's more of a pro-Socialist club than it is any kind of labor union.
Honestly, considering that literally almost everything negative in this country's history is aligned exclusively with the Democrat party, I'm surprised they even still exist. It's hilarious too that they've managed to convince so many uneducated people that it's the other way around.

The Democrats are so close to the Communist in this regard, the Communist have willingly killed or allowed to die many hundreds of millions to change to politics of their country. The Soviet Union purposefully starved their populace, the Khmer Rouge communist, famous for the killing fields, and we do our best to ignore the many terrible things currently happening in China so we do not feel bad about our iphones. Fear the Democrats as they try to repress free speech as "spreading rumors" and for not stating the truths from experts(the state).
