A sensational headline: Arizona national monument, home to sacred Native American burial sites, is being blown up for the border wall

Oh, what a truly evil man this Trump must be!

Over the last few days, I have seen and heard various versions of this misleading headline foisted on a gullible public.

And now for the much more banal truth:

The wall continues to be built along the southern edge of the Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, where it meets the international border with Mexico. The Organ Pipe Cactus National Monuments is a beautiful National Park which has the unique distinction of being the only place in the US where the Organ Pipe Cactus grows naturally.

No monuments are being blown up and no burial grounds are being disturbed.

Probably. In that region, they are more common than jackalopes.
