Yeah, it's a good sports year for Houston. Your Texans also seem to be ontract for a few good seasons.
It was a good game. The Astros started off with a three run lead after the 1st inning but were held in check. They never lost the lead but the Yankees did fight back and kept it close, and tied it at their last inning at bat. Then the 'Stros got a two run homer at their last bat.
Did you catch the Astro game winning home run in game four or or five in NY ? Where Carlos Correa, in the eleventh inning, belted a walk-off home run. He was pointing his finger seemingly at the Yankee fans, but that was not so.
He had been supporting some stricken Astro fan in Laredo who was hospitalized. While visiting him recently he told the fan that his next home run would be dedicated to him and point. Sayimg "I will be pointing at you.

Lawn darts, ?
Did you know ... that the Astros will be playing the Washington DC Nationals ? The Nationals being the former Montreal Expos.
@ maryjane ... I have been meaning to edit my post. Your Mattress Mack bet one million dollars on the Astros to win the World Series ... ? ... back at the beginning of the Yankees series. He mentioned something about having done it before at a time in his life that he was struggling.
To everybody else, Mattress Mack owns Galaxy Furniture. I actually bought a mattress set from his store back in 2003(?). He had a very very large TV playing sports hanging on the outside of his store. He also has opened his store at least two times during natural disasters (hurricanes get the most mention) to care for the victims. Even giving great prices to victims during rebuilding efforts.
This is the Nationals very first trip to the World Series. Game one tonight !

Siri has failed you again. Maybe somewhere far far out in the cosmos, there is some non-carbon based life form named Mack that owns a Galaxy Furniture store, but here on Earth, Mattress Mack (AKA Jim McIngvale) owns Gallery Furniture.
(not to be confused with Galaly Furniture which according to the rumor mill, is owned by a Jewish Asian that has a speech impediment)

Well, shucks. For some reason, I was pull'n for the Astros. Really don't have a dog in this one but, I thought, what the hell. Even wore my Texas undergarments and broke out the good drink'n stuff for luck. Didn't do much good.
All I'm gonna say is, I couldn't hit a ball thrown by Doolittle. Man that guy was impressive.
Those last 2 games were hard to watch, but the Nats did a great job. Home field advantage turned out to be zero factor this year, with almost all the wins coming while a visiting team.
Astros next year probably going to have a lot different look....

Not almost. Every single one of them. All seven of them. Wow !
They speculate that the National's power player ... Redon(?) will likely be an Astro next year, being born in Houston and playing all his amature ball there.
Houston's hot and very capable pitcher Gerrit Cole is most likely going to be with someone else next year tho...he's free agent now, and I think he want to return to Calif somewhere. I would prefer to see Astros trade verlander and find a way to keep Cole but the Hou fans would explode to see Verlander go and he just got a new (and expensive) 2 yr contract.... Cole is a lot younger than Verlander. 29 vs 36
