Wait, what? Spam? From me? Well, yeah - sorta...

I've entered a DJ Contest and even though "This is not a popularity contest" (and we of course all believe that immediately), I need to demonstrate my ability to reach an audience. So please have a listen to my mix on Mixcloud! No need to listen to the entire mix (if Tech House isn't your thing). Just a few minutes should be enough (if you only visit the page, the "Plays" counter does not increase). Oh and I would be ever so grateful if you could even share the link on Facebook or whatever social media platform you are active on.

Let's see how many plays I can achieve through the Fiero community!

My entry: https://www.mixcloud.com/Cl...-call-cliff-pennock/

I have a friend at work who lives for music like this. I'm going to forward the link to him, and ask him to spread it around amongst his circle. I'm quite sure it will be well received.

Thanks y'all

Even though they claim "Plays" will not count towards their decision, I'm pretty sure it does. I think they'd rather book an "unknown" DJ with 3,000 followers, than one with 16 followers.

So I'm guessing my chances are slim to none. But still, if you don't try...

Cliff, there are a huge group of Pennock's patrons who simply do not visit the O/T section due to (well you know). I think that with the service you provide to the community, no one would have an issue if you posted your request in the somewhat less volatile areas of General and Technical. I would also like to point out that we can click on the link you provided and still browse the forum with your performance playing at the volume we chose in the background.
Thanks again for what you do and Good Luck!

I have listened to it 3 times now. My tastes in music are very eclectic, ranging from Country music, Gregorian chant, "heavy metal" rock and even techno, depending on my mood.

I like your track.

Waited on the station all day
Just to see a glimpse of the morning train
Just to see the wheels turning round
Blowing up steam,
See what I mean,
You see what I mean...

Got it playing here now. Shared to my FB feed and am trying to figure out how to follow? As others said, not my "normal" listen but for me it's not to far outside my "normal" listen so I'm enjoying it!

Done.
And this is my cup of tea music, along with others.

Also, You have to JOIN on FB for the counter to acknowledge you. It stayed at 139 until I did that then it changed to 140.

I'm not sure why that happened, but it should register plays regardless of if you are a registered FB user or not.

And I just re-read the competition rules and it says

Once you've submitted your mix, share it on socials and get your friends and fans to vote for you by “Liking” your mix.

So it's actually not the number of "plays" that counts but the number of likes or "favorites"...
