heat/ac unit does look weird maybe legal. You would need more info then one pic.
Notice is missing a air filter slot too. Likely the user replaceable filter is in/on a single air inlet near by.

Or could have a GFCI in a breaker in a load center.
Shower plugs are UK type w/ 240VAC and UK and others allows GFCI in their Consumer Units. I believe most "GFCI" (UK called an RCD) are install that way there not like in the plug in most of the US.
But UK rules won't allow this shower plugs even then. I think Won't allow any plugs switches etc w/in X distance from a tube/shower under current rule book.
