I have a canvas-covered, aluminum-frame lift-up type cover on the box of the truck.
The canvas is ripped so I called to price out just the replacement part this morning. $169 just for the tarp and it is special order, takes 3 weeks to get.
Then I called the local big fabric store...14 bucks a meter for marine-grade canvas...and I know a girl who will sew it up for me for 20-30 bucks.
So, I can make my own, with better material, for less than 1/3rd of what they want retail. And its done in 2 days.
And the world wonders why the retail sector is failing.
