If you are one of the unfortunate few that owns one of these.....
Just happened to have this occur to Jane's car yesterday. Fortunately, her's made it home and the cable popped off when she put it in Park.
Dealership says FCA will initiate the actual recall "2nd qtr 2019" (now) but they haven't gotten notice of exactly which part(s) they will be receiving, but also said they currently do not have or stock the replacement bushing.

The part tho, is available from bushingfix for about $20.

I really need to trade this thing off for a few cows or a good horse..

If its still shiny and has a decent interior now's probably the time to unload it.

In pretty good shape. 58,085 miles..transmission was changed under warranty at about 8000 miles. Got some minor scratches on it and a little depression on left rear fender but the interior is perfect. Gets good mileage and even for my 6'4" 230lb size, there's plenty of room.I can even sit comfortably in the back seat.
I love driving it once you get used to the tire's road noise (I drive a pickup so I'm not used to hearing that noise)
BUT, there's been so many little things happen to it...radio went out, seat warmer went out, seat adjustment motor crapped out etc..just little piddling stuff that for the one and only time in my life made the extended warranty worth it (now expired and I didn't renew it)

I just got a notice from Ford that my Fusion has the same exact issue. This is the second notice I got from Ford. The first said that my steering wheel could come off.
