So, someone or some group that you would be likely to describe as "liberal" conjured up a protest against the premier of Ontario, Doug Ford, and his government. And the protesters brought a prop. A mockup of a bloody guillotine. A beheading in effigy of Doug Ford, or at least, of Doug Ford's government.
You like Doug Ford and the PCs (Progressive Conservatives) more than you dislike them. Doug Ford and the PCs have at least a 51 percent MEM approval rating; perhaps even higher. So you are not enthused about these protesters.
But at the same time, you have seldom (if ever) used this forum to talk up or promote the goodness of any particular "speed limits" on the exercise of freedom of speech. You have seldom (if ever) put any of your forum "chips" on the game square that calls for any particular moderation in the pursuit of freedom.
Are you experiencing some cognitive dissonance about this protest and the use of a mock guillotine as a stage prop in the exercise of political theater?
