Crazy Bernie ... He want's inprisoned felons to be able to vote. That it is an American right. I have not seen the pundits have the correct response, nor the President.
What is the purpose of voting ? To be able to affect the society in which you live. What should they be able to vote on ? Their particular jail detention guards ? Room accommodations, prison food ?

Felons have lost the right to own guns, does he want to give that back to them?
If they want them they will just go get them. That's how it works only those that follow the law will be held at a higher standard. But hey once we are all felons and they have gave back all of our rights its going to be ok.
Back in the ‘70s, I was working in a lumber yard that had a rail spur. The railroad would come in the middle of the night and swap out our empties for loaded cars.
One morning we came in to find that they had run one whole flat and half of the next right off the end of the track and out into the dirt. Can you imagine how clueless and unaware the crew had to be to go that far off the rails? The Democratic party is a lot like that.

I don't know about him but this topic has always perplexed me.
Why do felons loose that right ? Did their felony involve the inapropriat use of a firearm ? How come their Second Amendment right ? Why not the freedom to assemble, to be secure from unreasonable search and seizures, the right to free speech ? Why do felons lose the tight to defend themselves, to be able to stand up to a corrupt government.
