If AOC truly represents her constituents and their agenda, the division in this country is much wider than I thought.

This will not end well.

Who cares about some idiot on Youtube?

Pick ANY topic, and stance and there's a youtube video of someone purposely embarrassing themselves for all to see and tout as evidentiary support for their argument.

I am making case in point about the derangement taking place by the extreme and not so extreme left. Even recently, left leaners have posted here about how no hate is taking place against anyone politically happy about OUR President. I am not one to forget. Youtube, Instagram, Google, Facebook, etc. are all left leaning HIGHLY influential platforms that deny free speech while supporting hate towards anything Christian, white, male, American, or etc.

Eh, not sure if you are trolling, or actually interested in the audacity taking place? You began by banging the drum of hate. Then you claimed it was "us". Huh, reality much bro?

Maybe in a parallel universe where AOC was born a few years earlier and was eligible to run on a Sanders ticket?

Well it's not a very good point then. Derangement and hatred exists on both sides, though white Nationalists seem to have cornered the market on the more extreme violence.

Math? No... I don't have a degree in economics, I'm just a web developer. That said, I deal mainly in the realm of logic. I haven't seen anything he's proposed that couldn't easily be rationalized.

Absolutely, and both stupids should be viewed.

Now it is "extreme violence"? You are picking at a statistic that you choose without regards to the disproportionate amount of murders generated by inner city black on black violence. Complete disregard for a much larger issue, but OK?

Where do you put me on your spectrum? Honest question that anyone here may answer towards me.

What proof? This is one of those questions that no matter the answer I give, you will not accept. Am I incorrect here in this assumption?

Google is much more than your analogy. Again, a road that has been traveled in these parts. You nor I know this answer without undue opinion. Correct?

Your day should be as good as mine. Galobkis were made and in the oven. Home made and finely prepared galobkis.

Edit:

Wished that I would have read your statement here before I posted.

Literally 1st grade arithmetic.

Your "logic" is written with, shall I say, bad code. If Bernie Sanders does it for you, then our conversation is done. I will let you have your day. I am in no way prepared to fight insanity. That, or you are severly uninformed.

Rationalized is probably the perfect word for it.

Though it has a few interpreted meanings, the British would say making it more efficient. Which begs the question efficient at doing what?

This definition is more how I see it.
"attempt to explain or justify with logical, plausible reasons, even if these are not true or appropriate."

Bernie Sanders' plan will work, but taxed will go up and productivity will go down.

All Americans (except for the ruling class) will enjoy an equal standard of living, but that standard will be much lower than it is now (except for the perennial dependent class).

In other words, our keepers will enjoy unparalleled prosperity, while the rest of us live like paupers.

Once we become dependent on the state, the state can demand from us that which they wish. Freedom will be a distant memory residing only in the hearts of those of us who are old enough. Once we die, there will be no one to teach the young, no songs to sing or statues to stand as a testament to this once great nation, the grand experiment that succumbed to the evils of Godless men.

The lack of even a rudimentary understanding of economics and mathematics is typical of Comrade Sanders supporters and Marxists in general.

By the way, anything can be "easily rationalized". Children do it all the time.

Accordingly, your "realm of logic" is obviously a kingdom crafted of your own utopian fantasy.

It seems so odd that even after all the hard lessons that leftists have had to learn about the inaccuracy, false data and demonstrated failure of media opinion polls that they keep going back and pointing to them as somehow authoritative.

That argument is weaker than a cheap lawn chair at a Jenny Craig meeting......and so is your cite and it's author.

It seems that the leftist OPINION author of your "factual article" in support of your claim has some "baggage" shall we say:

Adam Serwer

articles: https://www.theatlantic.com/author/adam-serwer/

You lefties never want to answer the question, but I'll pose it again anyway:

WHY do you have so much trouble discerning opinions from facts?

For a bunch of guys that are so obsessed with facts, I've yet to see any. Just insults, jabs, and RHETORIC.... Typical political conversation I could be having with anyone on facebook.

Yes. Given the context of this conversation, I thought it was obvious I was referring to politically motivated violence (aka terrorism) and not gang / drug related violence. I'll try to be more specific going forward. SORRY.

Wow... congrats on really sticking it to me on that one... poor word choice means my entire argument is flawed... You win. I bow to your superior level of snark and google dictionary skills.

...

Ya know why Sanders and AOC are great? They aren't funded by corporations and beholden to lobbyists. And when they talk, they don't inspire their supporters to go burn down churches and paint swastikas on stuff. God help us they want to see people afford healthcare, and get an education... ***GASP!!***

Absolutely NOBODY is stopping you or anyone else from getting healthcare or an education.

What you want is for SOMEBODY ELSE to pay for those things for you.

The reason you don't understand why "the government" can't, and shouldn't, do that stems from your ignorance of basic economics, as it does for all Marxists.

(Are we now going to be regaled once again with the moronic "Socialist Scandinavian Countries" MYTH that's been busted here many, many times already?)

Do you know anything about them? "Not beholden to lobbyists?" How did A.O.C. become to be? Curious as to what this answer may have?

I am 100% with you. Do not burn down churches, and there should be a better healthcare system and education in place. You believe this to be my fault why? Why do you pertain to know more, and stand the high moral here?

Facts are being ignored by you. Socialistic ideologies never go as planned. What makes you believe that this time is different?

AOC was recruited by an insurgent grassroots organization called Justice Democrats which was started by former Sanders campaigners and progressives. I've been following them for quite some time.

Like Sanders, Justice Democrats is funded largely by small donations from individuals averaging less than 20 bucks.

I know a few Progressives. They are all for Free Health Care, Free Education, Free cell phones, etc........ I can easily see them donating $20.00 to get all that. Of course, they don't want to see higher taxes. Once I asked one who was supposed to pay for all that free stuff. Well of course, the government was the response.

NO it wasn't.

It was started by a couple of well known hard left media clowns named Cenk Kadir Uygur and his fellow traveler and young, useful idiot; Kyle Edward Kulinski

NO they aren't.

If you really have been "following them for quite some time" as you claimed you would know it's not true.

Once again, that makes you either a liar or another useful idiot.

https://www.opensecrets.org...65&cycle=2018&Page=1

Now lets look at where their astoundingly measly $62k of contributions went:

https://www.opensecrets.org...=2018&cmte=C00630665

You complained about no facts, well there's some for you.

You also said before that you are a "youngster" around here and boy you sure are quickly proving that with gleeful, childish abandon.

How are you figuring the average when the data is not available for individual contributors whose total contributions are under $200?

I'm just looking here: https://www.fec.gov/data/co...ibution-transactions

Individual receipts are downloadable in CSV, but again... only contributors that have hit > $200

Are you really that thick?

They raised $2,726,957.42 total on 10.997 donations.

It's right there in the FEC data that YOU just posted.

Do the math.

Even my 11 year old Granddaughter can calculate the average from that data.

It's immediately obvious that it was nowhere near "largely funded" by less than $20 donations as you claimed, (because that's what you were told and are useful idiot enough to believe)

The 10,997 donations included in the data are only the ones where the aggregate year-to-date total for the contributor has exceded $200.

So if someone has donated 10 bucks to Justice Democrats on 12 occasions, none of those donations are included in the 10,997 receipts listed.

You can't do the math without a full list.

Actually, its probably not that simple either. There are some aggregate totals under $200 now that I've looked at the list some more. Thats said, however, most of the entries start above $200.

I guess there's probably a number of different rules for reporting based on how the donations were received. I couldn't tell you what they are though without spending more time.

The ones I see under $200 might be included because they donated to other committees. I'll have to test that later when I have something better than my cellphone to look at the data. The FEC donation list is over 80 million rows if you remove all the filters.

sorry to bust your etopia dreamland.
45% of the donations are from dead dem's voters. now how do the dead send in donations.
Might that be fraud.. just like the dead voters that vote every election.
I know I know. nothing to see here, move along.
We've(my family) has gor a thank you letter for supporting that farc. 18 times. thanking my long since dead grandmother. for her continued support.. she is dead and it was not a mistake on their part. the donations were out of a checking account opened in her name. this person will be going to jail but this is just the tip, the detectives working with us, stated they have a hundreds of the same type thing and that is just one state.

Facts are strange things. It seems Bernie is funded by Corporations. I'd bet he's beholden to lobbyists too.. But what do I know?

You found facts, but interpreted them very loosely to support your beliefs. The findings on any of these searches (on any candidate) is fairly benign since it is all reported to the FEC and made public.

These tables list the top donors to candidates in the 1989 - 2018 election cycle. The organizations themselves did not donate, rather the money came from the organizations' PACs, their individual members or employees or owners, and those individuals' immediate families. Organization totals include subsidiaries and affiliates.

Why (and How) We Use Donors' Employer/Occupation Information

The organizations listed as "Top Contributors" reached this list for one of two reasons: either they gave through a political action committee sponsored by the organization, or individuals connected with the organization contributed directly to the candidate.

Under federal law, all contributions over $200 must be itemized and the donor's occupation and employer must be requested and disclosed, if provided. The Center uses that employer/occupation information to identify the donor's economic interest. We do this in two ways:

First, we apply a code to the contribution, identifying the industry. Totals for industries (and larger economic sectors) can be seen in each candidate and race profile, and in the Industry Profile section of the OpenSecrets website.
Second, we standardize the name of the donor's employer. If enough contributions came in from people connected with that same employer, the organization's name winds up on the Top Contributor list.
Of course, it is impossible to know either the economic interest that made each individual contribution possible or the motivation for each individual giver. However, the patterns of contributions provide critical information for voters, researchers and others. That is why Congress mandated that candidates and political parties request employer information from contributors and publicly report it when the contributor provides it.

In some cases, a cluster of contributions from the same organization may indicate a concerted effort by that organization to "bundle" contributions to the candidate. In other cases—both with private companies and with government agencies, non-profits and educational institutions—the reason for the contributions may be completely unrelated to the organization.

Showing these clusters of contributions from people associated with particular organizations provides a valuable—and unique—way of understanding where a candidate is getting his or her financial support. Knowing those groups is also useful after the election, as issues come before Congress and the administration that may affect those organizations and their industries.

In my opinion the number of people, no matter how little they donate each, to support a bad idea, doesn't change a bad idea.
