Fiber optic flight controls!

It might be an ok plane, but air superiority will be dominated by:
- Long range - beyond line of sight (fire and forget missiles)
- Short range - remote piloted attack or fully autonomous air defense drones

A major portion of manned fighter planes is simply there to provide information to and keep the squishy alive. Close combat with a lightweight aircraft that can pull two or three time the G forces over a manned aircraft will have the advantage.

I agree, although I must admit I don't know what "keep the squishy alive" means.
Unmanned is the future.
