If you have to eat food to keep your body alive, is it a choice? If you have no choice, are you free? I encourage him to break free from the tyranny of metabolism.
Edit to add: the guy in the photo DOES have a choice. But it's not a very attractive one. He could go out in the wilderness, and do the hunter/gatherer thing. It'll be a hard life (and probably a short one). But it's a choice. However, he chose to live in human civilization. So get a job and quit whining about how hard your life is, kiddo.

Should the person determine to do as you suggest, would not providing him/her with nutrition qualify as assisted sucicide?

Isn't it strange that after a bombing, everyone blames the bomber, his upbringing, his environment, his culture, his mental state but … after a shooting, the problem is the gun.... Open your frigg'n minds, think about all the other tools that can be made into WMDs.
My wife told me to grow up. I told her to get out of my fort!

You dont have to work to live, you have to eat to live! To eat you need to work to get money for grub. Its not a choice its the way things work. Thats just how it is. Plenty of people live without working, they live off of others peoples workings. Half the nation doesnt file income taxes but everyone lives and eats. Thats just how it is. Like the g being burned out everytime you go to black angus.

I support the rights of both parties in the above statement. I am not free, I own property and will be taxed no matter if I should walk away until someone else takes ownership. We had the timeshare experience! Yea, foraging is free and would work in my area so long as you are not picky.

In this area, it would require a level of knowledge and experience that few possess, and there are far more people in this valley than it could possibly support naturally. In addition, our rivers were dammed up long ago, so all of the water that once flowed through this valley is now stored miles out of town.
