RIP.

I don't see GWH Bush listed as a member of the majestic 12, but there was this guy....

George Bush did a lot of cool and interesting stuff. But sadly, many people will only remember him as a "read my lips" meme.

I was in the Navy when he was elected. Stood on the "quarterdeck" of our building when they took down Ronald Reagan's picture and put up his.
Spent a year under his command. There were changes, some I cant get into, I wouldn't call him one of the best that I have lived through.

RIP

Yeah, not gunna lie... I'm not a fan of the guy. He served his country and didn't get the "protected status" that many soldier sons/daughters of politicians get.

But... not a fan of him. He was a total dickhead to Ronald Reagan, and the only reason Reagan picked him is because he wanted to bring together what was perceived as a "fractured" Republican party.

Other than his service, and building a coalition to help defend against Saddam's conquest goals... I can't really think of anything that he did that was all that meaningful.

He was the epitome of establishment, and honestly... I consider him the Mitt Romney of his time.

Never the less, RIP...
