I'll qualify this by, I am not an expert by any means about a/c systems.
Vehicle 2003 Honda Accord 3.0 V6 with ~282,xxx miles.
Last night I hit a tree branch on the road which hit the condenser, and the AC doesn't work today. I assume the impact caused the condenser to geta significant crack, therfore the system is totally evacuated. I know I'll need a new condenser., do I need to replace other parts of the AC system such as the drier? OR is it as simple as remove, replace, pull a vacuum and charge? This will all be DYI by me as paying shop privces could total the car, lol. I am hoping I can fix it for under $100 or so.
I have never done any AC work so any tips/tricks are appreciated.
It's always a good idea to replace the drier if the system has been open even for a short time. And don't forget to add the correct a/c oil to the condenser.
