and possibly jail time. This man tries to "do the right thing" by registering his "assault weapon" on the Kommifornia web site. The assault weapon laws in California are constantly in flux and it turns out he had what the state is calling an illegal modification. They raid his house and find other things that are illegal so now he is in a lot of trouble with 12 felony charges. The laws are so complex that they recommend taking your weapons to Federal Firearms License(FFL) holders to have these experts tell you if what you legally purchased years ago is still legal today. IMO, if the laws are this complex and in such flux, they are illegal because the people that are supposed to follow them cannot understand them.

I agree with you on this. In fact this is also my opinion on taxes. The laws should be simple enough that the average Joe should be able to follow without hiring an expert "professional".
As far as laws go, we have to many to follow, and a purge is definitely recommend.

Totally ridiculous. I would love to see this eventually go to Supreme Court and have them hand a ruling to California saying they're infringing too much and rescind 90% of their laws.

Oooh… how I would love to see that.

California is some of the most beautiful territory you can ever drive across.

Unfortunately, there are Californians.
