"(Donald Trump) was the promoter for us in Atlantic City and we got to Atlantic City and (it was billed as) Donald Trump presents… the Rolling Stones (was written) in miniature," he told BBC Radio 4's "Today" program.
"We never have much to do with promoters but this one got me. That was the last time I got angry, I pulled out my trusty blade and stuck it in the table and said: 'You've got to get rid of this man.'"
Now, it's the U.S. that has the problem, Richards suggested. "Now America has to get rid of him. Don't say I didn't warn you," he added.
First off I'll just say......yeah, he looks like the model citizen and voice of reason. I've always thought he should have his mouth sewn shut and stick to playing guitar.
Second....a stuck-up British band was pissed because the promoter had his name larger on the billboard of the casino that HE owned....go figure. Now I have zero respect for them as a band.
I have been a big fan of the Stones since I was ten years old. Back then you had to choose between the clean cut Beatles or the bad ass Rolling Stones. (unless, of course you were one of those guys who listened to the Beach Boys).
I am constantly amazed that the Stones have outlived almost all of their contemporaries. Everyone just assumed they would be the first to die.

Nice pic. Jagger and McCartney on a train. The music magazines back in the day all wanted us to believe there were huge rivalries between the bands, when actually they were friends and partied together.....
American Country music has it's roots firmly planted in the folk music of the British Isles.
Dani Wilde and her brother are English blues musicians.
A girl I knew from high school went to Europe, met and married a Scotsman. They traveled Europe playing American Country music, then came here and played Irish folk music.

Would you believe anything some old drug burnout told you, if he was just some guy on the street? And if not, then why would you believe some old drug burnout who happens to be famous? Does fame make their blabberings more credible? Considering that Steven Tyler thinks ancient humans went underground a million years ago to wait out the ice ages, I'd say not.
I like a lot of their music (Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, etc). But let's be realistic. Music is basically all they're good at. When they offer opinions on anything non music related, they usually end up embarrassing themselves.

But how can you not heed the dire warning from someone who is responsible for such profound lyrics as this?
quote
"Don't know who I am, forgotten my name I got no address and who the hell's to blame Knocked on my head, everything went blank I didn't even know, the Titanic sank"
