If an Irishman dons a buckskin suit and puts a feather in his hat, he is excoriated for “cultural appropriation”. After all, he was not born Sioux. However, if he sports a cocktail dress and lipstick, he is lauded as a brave trailblazer, an enlightened free thinker; even though he was not born Sue.

Will some paragon of progressive punditry please explain this to me?

It seems like nonsense, the slippery slope argument just a decade ago was just a strawman. Now that strawman is real and people might not put much stock in an argument like yours but they should.

What if a person identifies them selfs as being born on a different date, and a different age? Does anyone have to recognize it, will anyone be forced to accept it, and ridiculed if they don't?
