Twas just before Christmas, and millions are paid, to players who knelt, while the anthem was played. Old glory flew proudly, its red white and blue, while honoring veterans who protect me and you. The star-spangled banner has meaning you see, it honors our country, the land of the free. Fans show respect ,with there hat in there hand, but the players don't care, they won't even stand. Then veterans day comes and they act like they care, with Marines on the field , and jets in the air, they gave the soldiers jerseys and autographed gear, but show no respect, the rest of the year. The players want more as you may have guessed, even with millions, they say they're oppressed. But fans are fed up, they know that its wrong, to act like the anthem, is a meaningless song. So as Christmas draws near, lets all make a toast, to all of the things that matter the most.
