To the pessimist in me it sounds like a good way to rise to a superpower, get all linked up with everybody else, and then revert back to "backward beliefs".

Kinda old news and not exactly accurate. The only new aspect is Saudi's intention to sell shares of Aramco on the major stock exchanges, and that's just to generate much needed revenue since the drop in crude prices took place and no longer keep Saudi's coffers overflowing. Saudi took 100% stake in Aramco several decades ago. Kicked out the private enterprises that developed their oil fields. Nice idea but don't count on that yet. The Prince could get killed by his own people. Way Too many are hard line religion and/or very corrupt to give up control and $. Like Ganges or hard liners in other country... Both have no problem killing govmnt people that gets in them way to control people and/or making huge amounts of $.

I see a young leader that understands how to sway a generation. Nothing about that man's life is in any way, shape, or form similar to yours or mine. He does not feel the needs of his country. He is looking towards a greater conquest.
