So we're a week away from the off year election of a new governor here in Virginia. Some polls show the (R) ahead which is amazing as all the tea leaves say he should be losing, big time.
What do the (D)'s do? Put out an ad ( now deleted from Youtube ) that depicts the (R) as a white supremacist.
Picture this:
There's a pickup truck sporting a big ole' Confederate flag trolling a quiet suburban neighborhood where a bunch of minority kids are walking to school or playing in a playground.
They see the truck and start scampering for safety running in horror from the evil rednecks. As the truck rounds a corner you can see a "Gillespie for Governor" bumper sticker on the back of the beast.
The ad ends with a still shot of a white supremacist torch parade with an overlay of Trump and Gillespie's faces.
Gillespie's online donations have tripled in three days.

That sounds like a bad SNL routine. I know it shouldn't be funny, but I am still chuckling. That kind of thing does nothing but insult the intelligence of the electorate.

You can't insult the intelligence of anyone who would listen to advice from Hillary.
They must have just pulled this from the Tube. I watched this 10 min ago and could not believe these idiots put out the most racist ad I've ever seen and I have been voting since 1978. MSM will let it disappear because it was the Dems that ran it. Tucker has a good interview on the Tube with one of the nut jobs that approved of this ad, if the didn't pull that off the Tube also. (side note) Can Ford motors take legal action for depicting there Trucks as racist mowing vehicles against minorities.

Stupid assholes.....It never was about racism, it was about freedom, the right to be free, and the right to tell the government we wont be governed....
OK, hold on there a minute Tonto, the title would lead me to believe someone actually takes instructions/advice from HRC?
Come on Bud. Are you telling me she's teaching classes on how to lose an election or what???

Isn't it strange that after a bombing, everyone blames the bomber, his upbringing, his environment, his culture, his mental state but … after a shooting, the problem is the gun.... Open your frigg'n minds, think about all the other tools that can be made into WMDs.
I sincerely hope that life is never discovered on another planet because, sure as hell Progressives and Socialists will want to send them money.

For Gillespie. As a matter of fact, many are reporting it is over and Gillespie lost. They are calling it a "Backlash against Trump". Not good, not good at all.

Yeah, looks like a "Democrat Wave" here in Virginia.
Just not enough racist redneck pickup truck drivers out in the sticks to counter the northern DC suburbs, Richmond and Hampton Roads.
I'll look for the silver lining. I think the Dems are going to misread this as a new national mandate and continue down the same path as they have for the last year.

I suspect we're going to see more of this in states where it's a close call. The last election cycle where Conservatives came out of the woodwork to deny HRC the White House taught Dems a lesson. They need to come out in mass and vote. The pendulum swings both ways. If Americans wish to protect their rights, they need to consider who they vote for in every election

You are correct. Democrats will overplay the results and Republicans will underplay them.
Pundits are calling Tuesday’s results a repudiation of Trump. That is contradicted by some of the data.
There is no "ticket" in Virginia. The governor, Lt. governor and AG are all separate selections on the ballot. Jill Vogel, running for Lt governor, is a true Trump supporter and out-performed the candidate at top of the ticket by tens of thousands of votes.
It would be more accurate to point out that, once again, the Republican establishment came up short. Gillespie belatedly embraced Trump supporters, but it seems clear from results there were more than a few conservatives who were reluctant to be seduced by the reformed RINO.
So reading the tea leaves, it's fair to say that the Republicans need to get on board the Trump train and get some major legislation passed this year to avoid a major setback next November.
Problem is, I still don't think many of them want to ride the rails.
