How we got in this mess?

I really wonder how large a mental illness needs to be before it is indistinguishable as an illness, because more have it than don't.

Key word: "recognize toxic elements in YOUR life."

stop trying to blame your problems on what happens with other people's lives.

too many see the world not as it is, but as they themselves are.

We have lost touch with ritual, replaced family interactions with notifications. Lost our collective way(s).
Very few non-destructive ways to “escape”... or unplug...

One reason why I stick around here is because this place contains some actual examples of 20th century human beings.(or “pre-internet” humans, or whatever you wanna call yourselves)

It's not just an age thing. Although I have been said to be "old at heart", I'm only 36. I stick around here for the same reason, the world is too full of facetwitter-media-zombies. I do not fit in with them. I don't have a facebook or a twitter or really any apps on my phone, I don't even own a television (gasp, horror).

I feel like my life is better for it. Then again I'm sure they all feel their lives are better with it all...

Grow a stalk of corn indoors, in a closet with no moving air. The plant will be weak and not able to hold itself up.
Living things need to have forces push on them so they become stronger.
Plants need wind, animals.
People need bullies, and adversity.

For decades now the Left has worked to remove any resistance for children. No bullies, they are always right, they get choices in everything. They can identify however they please... I'm cast iron today.... Sex is fluid, there is no stability there.
So we've taken away adversity.
Then gender was made fluid.
Now we've removed sexuality.

What else do humans have? Really? You aren't allowed to be the person you really are. You are forced (by society) to hide your true self, and pretend to be this gender fluid, asexual being that doesn't want violence... Do we really expect for nothing to break?

True, the best plan is fix yourself.

When looking at my statement of "think this is why there are so many whackos?" I refer to the individuals in society slowly shifting society in whatever direction. Probably for some sort of short sighted ease. Seemingly without regard for the over arching problems.
