Have a question, the wifes Samsung range oven developed a noisy convection fan, determined it was the motor, so I lubricated it and the sound went away for about 2 weeks then returned. So I lubricated it again and it worked for about 10 minutes then stopped. I can feel the magnet "buzz" but the motor won't spin. So I bought another motor from Samsung, installed it and get the same thing. Both motors spin free by hand and the windings conduct current, any ideas? Also reversed the plug and made no difference.

Can you test the voltage coming off the wires? See if it is getting enough juice. Or if another component went and is “injecting AC “ or whatever they call it when that occurs.

try powering up the replacement one outside the range...its possible you got a bad one out-of-the-box.

Appliance fan motors aren't exactly "quality-made"

Looking on the web, it appears Samsung has been having problems with their convection fans for awhile. My guess would be that you got a defective replacement from Samsung, but that's just a guess. Good luck with it bonaduce.

solved, there was a piece of and old bushing that wedged against the rod that went through the oven wall and caused it not to spin.

Hey dan, what’s the deal with you, is your name the same as the actor, or something? (Maybe you explained this to me in the past? I forget)
