A long time Phoenix area landmark was recently demolished after standing empty for many decades. I'm sure spark1 will remember this place.

Thes are rarely used in the U.K. The last phone booth I saw in use was a modern glass one just outside our base.

No personal pictures of it, but there is a concrete Liberty ship that has been aground/partially submerged for decades right off the Bolivar Roads ship channel at Galveston. I see it every time I ride the ferry from Bolivar Point over to Galveston Isle. There were a couple dozen of them built during ww2...steel was scarce and concrete was cheap.
