It's been a while since I attended a Fiero event. So, I went to the event calendar. The end result was NOTHING!!!!

I don't see a single event posted in the next year. Would like to get back to doing this as time, finances and other life challenges present themselves.

So, the question is, anybody planning anything?

I'm guessing it is about the end of the season now, maybe events will start popping up more toward Spring.

Well, I'm planning on being at your house around July 1-3 next summer.

You have two Fieros, I have one. Does that make an event?

I had the same thought but was kind of hoping some of my Southern friends would be hosting some kind of event. Fall is a great time to head to higher elevations where Mother Nature is hosting a "color change" and generally the Wx is more reliable and warmer.

I'm attempting to attend a Valkyrie event in Northern Indiana in a couple weeks, Wx definitely plays a big decision factor on my attendance to that. Travel is one of the reasons I transport, love going to places I haven't been and meeting folks that have similar interests.

Ron,

Daytona 2018 is scheduled for March 29-April 1. There is also a "Turkey Run" that typically happens in Daytona around November and another show at Logan Farms in the Ocala, FL area. Info on all of these shows should be available on line. Ocala also has the Silver Springs car show (normally sponsored by National Auto Parts) and that is a fun show to attend.

Spring is an excellent time to visit FL. Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. I recently put a hitch on one of my Fieros, might just hook up the bike trailer and bring the Valkyrie to. One never knows if, one doesn't ask.

Check the events section of the forum. I don't think the calendar gets used as much.
Also check the club's sites and facebook pages listed here:

Run For The Hills 23 will be held on September 14-16, 2018 and will be running The Dragon. RFTH is always so close to you but you've never attended. You've gotta do it this year.

Will have to keep that in mind. You're correct, I haven't attended a RFTH event. Though, I have ridden the Dragon's Tail several times.

Some times, life gets in the way. September seems to be a "normally" busy time of the year for me transporting. Don't know why, it just is.

That's a great thread.

I still don't understand why such events aren't on that calendar. Kind of makes sense to me to put events on it. I sure as heck won't be going to all those links but, what ever toots yer horn....

I hadn't noticed the calendar used that much in the past, maybe it was.

Sadly if you are not on facebook you will probably miss the announcement of some shows.
Much of the activity is on facebook these days.

Can't say. But, I think it makes good sense to utilize it and advertise as many events as possible. Most likely, most groups only consider their local members and don't think others (outside their locality) will be interested.

I don't even know the names or sites of some of these groups but, using the event calendar shows those of us who like to travel what may be in the area. Just my opinion, doesn't count for much.

The calendar seems kind of like the event section but without detail, I think is why it is less used. I see it as just as effective or a little less effective than a post, unless perhaps for someone who didn't use PFF for anything but the calendar. But yep the more advertising in the more places the better.
I do know a lot of dates for 2018 aren't even set yet.

I think you're confusing Texas possum with Texas beaver.

They announce them in the general area... There is a handful listed for 2018 .
What calendar..? and that might be the reason they list them in the general forum instead.

Top, right hand corner of each sub-section page.
I use that calendar to find the different events. Well, that is when they are listed.
