My aunt was put in the hospital last night. As of now her condition is serious. Send up every prayer you can for her.
The head neurosurgeon said that they don't think they can fix the biggest aneurysm doing a procedure like an angioplasty. She is scheduled for a craniotomy tomorrow.
This started with a head ache, she bent over to pick something up and said if felt like a bomb went off in her head and hurt all the way down her back. She thought she was having a heart attach Lucky they caught it when they did, if she would have laid down to rest it off she would have died. They flew her to Lexington where there is a specialist that only deals with this kind of thing.

Thanks for all the positive thoughts and prayers. She had 4 aneurysms. They were able to fix two of them with coils. And the third one they had to operate. She's going to have a long recovery in front of her but if she listen and does with the doctors tell her I believe that she can make a good recovery. I don't know that she'll ever get 100% back to where she was before but I think that if she had not gone to the doctor we would have lost her. As soon as she heals up a little bit they will come up with a plan to take care of the last aneurysm is it's a small one.

Thank you. It was bad seeing her like that, she has always been so strong. But now she just looks so frail. Time for her kids to grow up and step up. She will have a long road but she has a strong will and is very stubborn. 3 - 6 weeks in the hospital then 3 - 6 weeks in inpatient rehab. Honestly it will give her a break from what she has been dealing with at home. Her husband had a stroke and is in a wheel chair. She has been taking care of him for years.

He was very good but age and health caused complications, we wont know what they are until she has a chance to heal and rest. We are all praying and there for her. Thank God I am closer to home now and not still in Florida. Family always makes a difference.
All of our family have been warned to not ignore head aches. This is the second aunt and two of my uncles that have had the same thing happen. I have been scanned several times and so far I am fine.
Jake, my twin has had 2 brain surgeries in the last 2 years to remove cancerous growths. Quite a bit of brain tissue was removed. You may be very surprised how easily she recovers. Brains contain millions & millions of cells and most can and will, on their own easily take over the job of damaged or even destroyed cells that were doing a job, especially in the cerebellum. It's a very redundant organ. Brother lost no use of any skill, movement or memory. Hopefully, your family member will have the same good recovery.
She had a rough night. Too many drugs and her oxygen got low. They may put her back on the vent to build her strength back up. It's hard especially the way my mom passed. Will try to keep positive but it's hard right now with everything else. Going to go visit Mom this morning. It helps to just talk to her.
Hang in there Jake, after major surgery there is going to be good news and not so good news. A year and a half ago my 22yr old son suffered severe brain trauma in a crash with a tractor trl and Was in a coma for 7 days. We would go thru ups and downs for several months not knowing what the future would hold for him and us. He slowly made progress and after 6 months of therapy and lots of doctor appt. he is back to work and him and his brothers have there band back together. It is gut renching to see a love one lay in a bed knowing the only thing you can do is pray and be there for them. This will take time and we will continue to pray for her and your family.

They put my aunt back on a ventilator. She has a fever and they iced her to bring it down. Gave her pain meds and she is sleeping now. Infection is always a big worry in a hospital. Its too soon to know and she doesn't want to be there. Her kids freak her out so she gets stressed. I just pray for her to have some time alone and heal.
