Not just the Confederate monuments, also building names.

The Oregon State University (OSU) is considering renaming buildings that are named for racists. Those include the Arnold Dining Center, Avery Lodge, Benton Hall and Gill Coliseum. The Gill Coliseum is named for a former basketball coach who only had one black player on his teams over a period of years. Arnold is a former confederate soldier who later became President of the University. Avery owned a pro slavery newspaper at one time and Benton was a white supremacist and a U.S. Senator who the County where OSU is located is also named.

I live in Benton County and wasn't aware that it was named for a racist till the story of the building rename came out.

So, where does it all end? Maybe we shouldn't name any structure for a human because mores change over time?

Well shoot, I was about to submit my dogs Bowser's name as a suggestion for naming a city, sports arena or university but, he's picky about who he associates with.
