Our eldest daughter is mine from a previous marriage. Still, my wife has been here full time Mom since we gained full custody when she was 8 years old and her egg donor dropped off the map. She was also her part time Mom for 6 years prior to us gaining full custody. Things haven't always been easy between them, as for a while she hated her step mom. In the end when she was pregnant with her first child she broke down and came to see us with no warning on Christmas day, 4 days before the birth of her son, to reconcile. About to be a Mom herself and being a Mother since, she came to understand everything my wife did for her in loving her and raising her. Their relationship has bloomed anew and they are closer than they ever were before.

A couple of months back my daughter approached her Mom about getting a Mother/Daughter tattoo. She had an idea she really thought her Mom would like and my wife had been thinking about the idea herself before that. Our daughter talked to her artist, who also did my tattoo, and set up an appointment for both to get it done. Here are the end results after their session tonight. There is redness in them from just being done but that will fade and the colors will enrichen when it does.

My wife's.

Our daughters.

Nice artwork.

I'm not a big fan of tats but, it's not my canvas so if it makes them happy, I'm happy for them.

Isn't it strange that after a bombing, everyone blames the bomber, his upbringing, his environment, his culture, his mental state but …
after a shooting, the problem is the gun....
Open your frigg'n minds, think about all the other tools that can be made into WMDs.

I sincerely hope that life is never discovered on another planet because, sure as hell Progressives and Socialists will want to send them money.
