Wifey and I are at the Best Western in Wilmington, NC tonight.
Can I hang on to her?
Hey Buddy, I'd tell you two to go get a room but evidently, you already have. Yeah, hang on tight..............
BUT, Ya know, that's a very interesting question. I'm thinking you oughta be asking her that, not me.............

Isn't it strange that after a bombing, everyone blames the bomber, his upbringing, his environment, his culture, his mental state but … after a shooting, the problem is the gun.... Open your frigg'n minds, think about all the other tools that can be made into WMDs.
I sincerely hope that life is never discovered on another planet because, sure as hell Progressives and Socialists will want to send them money.

Ah, give them a piss/smoke break at the correct time.
This one, I'm going to get my daughter to watch (I'll use my welding helmet), but I just don't understand the fanaticism about it.
I know the arc from a welder is pretty bright, but are you sure that will work? I've seen several tv reports on the eclipse that have said that if you can see ANYTHING through your viewing medium prior to looking at the sun, they aren't strong enough. The only thing you should be able to see is the sun when looking directly at it.
Shade values higher than 12, from what I have read.....
Really? I wonder where you read that?
Page one of THIS FREAKING THREAD, that's where.

Looks like the panic was well justified. Towns on and near Kentucky's path of totality ran out of toilet paper. I can't say I'm surprised..always suspected they were full of ****.

That, was totally uncalled for................
Those that might have run out of toilet paper have received sufficient training to know which leaves to use and which leaves to not use. It only takes once using poison ivy or poison oak to learn that lesson.............
Well, once unless you're from Texas...............

Received sufficient training ? You must be from Kentucky.
It was supposed to be 86% total here. Pretty much a non event. It barely got any darker. A thunderstorm just went by a little while ago and it was twice as dark as the eclipse.
It's astonishing how much light the Sun puts out. Even at 85% blocking, it's still bright.
It was 96% or so in my town and it was still bright enough to not need headlights. It did drop 10-12 degrees for a few minutes which was nice. Driving 100 miles north would of been 100% totality and it did get dark there.
partial is like foreplay the total is like a orgasm
just got back after 2000 miles on the road over 4 days in a new mustang convert rental car got a low rate on line but the rental location was out of normal cars so I got the mustang for 30 a day, that DI v6 really has some power avg 85 and got 25+mpg hit 120mph on a nice fast drive thru the MTs
saw the totality in western NC it was spectacular and worth the time and effort a bucket list item checked off
good luck on the roads until we got back near I95 on I26 in SC late monday I95 was jam full and stop and go SLOW took 4 hours 8 to midnite to get to Savannah one cop scare in Ga but he pull out but drove passed after we slowed cops were most pulling trucks or just showing the flag [lites on] by the road sides got good deals on hotel rooms on the net but stayed outside the eclipse zone of gougers __________________ QUESTION!!!
