The people shown are better balanced than typical customers. I'd have a life vest or at least a ski belt on before riding one of those.
I remember their kayak version from about 15 years ago with the same propulsion system. They also had a trimaran version with a sail. I was living on my Sacramento delta island at the time and it looked like the perfect exercise to me.
I just read that a new study finds sitting faaar more damaging to a persons overall health then even previously thought. It seems, you gotta' keep your legs in motion if you wanna' live.
Now, why anyone would wanna' live past, say 40, is beyond me, but I do believe forward motion is the key to.............continuing to move forward!

The kayak version is pretty similar to a recumbent bike as far as exercise goes. Your legs are in motion.
Why do those wimps need training wheels handle bars ? Skip to 1:59 first, and also 0:24.
Why are they on the water with clothes on ?
A fool and his money are soon parted.

You can go walking, or jogging, for free. If you want to move up in life, you can climb stairs.
Wifey has a kayak that she uses to explore the inlet we live on.
I've been in it three times and fallen out three times. She couldn't understand why until I explained that her center of gravity was way lower than mine.

Kinda like Don and Jane's Big Canoe Adventures on Devil's River & Pecos Rivers I suspect. DR was 30 miles of hell, and that doesn't include the rough water.. (It was a long silent drive back up Pandale Ranch Rd to Sonora & we ended up selling the canoe on account of that trip.)
People ask me why I don't go swimming since I live at the beach.
I tell them I've been a sailor for my whole life.
If I'm in the water something has gone terribly wrong.
People might think that about me as well in "the land of 10,000 lakes" and having grown up in a farm, next to a river, but I really don't swim that much, or boat. Played in the creek a lot as a kid, then also rode thru it on atvs a lot.
