Something like it yes. The Suzuki Samurai and the Sidekick. That's not what that is though. Nor is it the re-badged Sidekick Geo sold, the Tracker. Isuzu also made something similar called the Amigo.

I started thinking of monikers no longer sold here and Daihatsu popped into my head. I can't remember the last time I even thought of Daihatsu when thinking of cars before that.

The first is a Cord, probably a '36 model 810.

The second, I think it is a custom. Maybe a Merc? Around '49 or '50?

That is almost certainly a Pininfarina body, and I believe that is a prancing horse on the side, so I am going to say a one-off 512.

I had to look that up. It appears that you are correct, with one extra 't' in the spelling. It is not the most attractive car I've seen.
