Looking to buy a used (but great condition) enclosed cargo/utility trailer. I need it for my upcoming move to NC. Color is unimportant as are fancy wheels. Brakes, wheels, tires, suspension, etc MUST be in very good condition. Also needs to be within about 100 miles of me (Peru/Kokomo, Indiana).

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I have a 2010 Buick Enclave with the factory tow package. It's good for 4500# BUT my truck has almost 160k miles so I really need to stay under that. I figure I "might" have 800# worth of stuff.

I'm looking on CL, eBay, etc but figured someone here might want to sell one. Or not.

EDIT: Possible transport is now tentative at best so I'm still looking for a used trailer. I've decided to sell/give away some of the larger items so my trailer size requirements are smaller. Now looking for something in the 4x8 -ish size and dirt cheap. If I don't find something soon, I'll rent a UHaul trailer.

Have you considered a POD? My daughter moved from Tx to Md with a POD and it appears to me to be the way to go. They drop off a container at your home, you load your stuff and they drop it off at your new address. They will hold in in storage until you tell them to deliver.

Well, I don't know where an enclosed box trailer is but, I do know where there's a fully enclosed two horse trailer. Pretty sure it's seven feet tall. Meant for larger horses. Tandem axle and fully enclosable.

Ya know, the kind folks haul around those four legged grain, grass and hay fertilizer machines.

It's an older trailer but solid and it's been used to store stuff for the last few years. It hasn't been used for horses for many years.

It's priced right IMHO and I would have bought it myself but, I don't haul horses or anything else that it would be good for.

I wouldn't be afraid to use it to move with. I can get information and put you in touch with the owner. I believe it can be purchased at a very reasonable price. But, that's between you and the owner.

Open your frigg'n minds, think about all the other tools that can be made into WMDs.

I sincerely hope that life is never discovered on another planet because, sure as hell Progressives and Socialists will want to send them money.

Have I got a deal for you. I have a storage unit in Raleigh that needs to get to Chicago. I'm in Chicago with a 6x12 single axle enclosed. It currently has a gutter machine in it but that can be remedied. I need to drag that trailer down with my 2015 Transit 250 and empty the storage. Wanna work something out so I don't have to pay the gas bill there on an empty trailer?

That sounds good but I can't leave until the 1st of August. I won't be leaving my current job until July 16 and it'll take a week to finish things up after I've retired/resigned.

I did the math, sort of.

$800.00 for just one month, $200.00 a month there after, if I just use it here for storage. The link won't work, sorry.

I recently bought a 40 footer for $2,400.00. I can get it moved for $250.00 and I will have a hella storage shed for later or resell it. I hear they are going up in price.

monkeyman, best wishes for your new endeavor.
