I got stuck in the desert once, had to recover a OH58 that had a mechanical issue. Flew in with a few parts and two crew chiefs, thought we'd get it fixed and fly out the same day. Things did not go according to plan. Was hot as hell when we got there, cold as hell that night and hot again the next day. Was never in danger of not getting home but, it was not a pleasant experience.......... Will leave it at that but, I don't want a repeat................

Did the same thing once in the medium of some interstate in west Texas. Oh Yeah, the wind was blowing 40+ knots that night also......... Told the crew to hang on to their ponchos, it's gonna be a long night!! You'd think I'd learn something eventually.

Not recently, but I have spent a lot of nights in the desert over the years. i woke up in the middle of the night with that song in my head and I had to stay up and put it down before I forgot it.

Oh, now I get it. An original song. Very Cool!

Just cause I'm slow doesn't mean I can't catch up.
