I heard John Kasich on the radio a couple of weeks ago say that if Romney had been half as hard on Obama four years ago as he has been on Trump, we wouldn't be in this kind of trouble.

LOL... Romney was hard on Obama... but his own record screwed him over. Flip-flopper, government run health care, 1%, 47%, off-shore accounts, Mormon, etc... Not to mention he just didn't look comfortable as a candidate.. he looked like he didn't want to be there. Time for Romney to just go away.
The cynic in me is beginning to hope he DOES actually get elected. It may be painful at first but I'm certain it would end Republican hopes for the POTUS for years to come. A Trump presidency would make George Bush's look like FDR's.
There is no doubt we are moving from a "center right" country to a "pure center" ideology......basically as a nation we are trending left.

Sadly, Trump is better than Cruz. That is what the GOP offers.... what a selection ... not.
I have no doubt Clinton will defeat Trump if that's the choice women voters have.
Trump has insulted his way to the top of several women's list of their favorite candidate to not vote for. I don't know who is advising Trump but he should definitely fire them. But, I've worked for bosses before that wouldn't listen so, it's possible The Donald just can't control his "superior brain" (his words, not mine).
I now believe Cruz is the only candidate that has a chance of beating Clinton. That's doubtful though.

Isn't it strange that after a bombing, everyone blames the bomber, his upbringing, his environment, his culture, his mental state but … after a shooting, the problem is the gun?
My Uncle Frank was a staunch Conservative and voted straight Republican until the day he died in Chicago. Since then he has voted Democrat. Shrug
This is why the GOP hopes that they can get rid of Trump. While he has a lot of supporters, he is unpredictable and doesn't understand that his words will quickly be used against him. People will tire of his anger-filled speeches and they will see he likes to pit people against each other. As you said, woman are just one group who are not trump fans (not all women, but a good chuck of the voting women). Hilary would have to really screw this up, to lose.

Polling shows Trump sliding sharply among women in recent months, hurting the GOP’s already shaky position with that demographic. Trump’s favorability numbers have decreased 10 points among women nationwide since November, to 23 percent, while his unfavorable number among women has jumped to 75 percent from 64 percent, according to a Washington Post-ABC News poll taken this month.

In the latest Quinnipiac poll, Cruz is actually 4-points behind Trump in women votes.
Cruz will not win. Doesn't have a chance in the general. Trust me.
Republicans have a large gap with women in the first place. So Cruz sucks even more.
Demographically, Trump is the Reagan of the Republican Party. Hated by purist, media and establishment, supported by both Democrats and Republicans electorate and your everyday people. There is always going to be haters, that comes with anything.
Cruz? He is not a good person. He is a fake Christian so to speak.

I see him more as our Bill "SlickWilly" Clinton..... Donald "Teflon" Trump

But people keep saying that "Trump is not a true conservative."
Aannnnnd? I don't have a problem with that.
The Republicans keep shooting themselves in the foot by trying to control peoples' private lives. I don't much care who sleeps with whom, or who smokes what. As long as I don't have to foot the bill for any of it. I believe that Trump is the same way. I also believe that most people see that, as well. "Everyday people", as you said. And it really chaps the ass of the Republican establishment.
What he is, is fiscally responsible. Some people will disagree with that. And if that is true, at least he is fiscally aware. Something that the current administration seems to be missing out on.
As long as he surrounds himself with advisers who have some sense, he'll do well.
Politically, I think Obama is as dumb as a stump. If he's not managed to really eff things up, it's because of the (very few) people around him who have prevented it. And the will of the people, whatever that's worth.

Just my take on this Cruz/ Trump wives club fued. Cruz started the whole debacle and you get what you wish for. HES responsible for what his campaign puts out there. They went after Trumps wife first. He should have stopped it if he wasnt prepared for reprisal. Trump, not to be kicked in the teeth, came right back at him, and deservedly so. Trump didnt say much about candidates wives before that. Personally, Id rather Trumps wife as first lady than a fake bible thumper like Cruzes.
You really think legalizing drugs would involve no cost to the non using public?
We've been over this many times. Yes, there are some horrible drugs out there. Yes, the "war on drugs" has been a miserable terribly expensive failure. Remember the definition of insanity? "Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results"
