These costumed protesters--some dressed in replica knight's helmets and chainmail body armor--gathered in front of the Prime Minister's Jerusalem residence on December 30. Crusader battle reenactors are one of the groups that are miffed at their government's plan to establish a new housing project to accommodate some 10,000 people from Israel's Druze demographic. The current plan is for the new housing project to be sited upon the same fields where Crusaders clashed with Saladin's Muslim Army in 1187 in the battle known as the "Horns of Hattin".
