Wile E. Coyote would be impressed. The town of Paradise Valley, AZ, an upper crust community between Phoenix and Scottsdale, is installing license plate reading cameras inside fake saguaro cacti along the roadside. This is both amusing and disturbing.

The Paradise Valley Police Dept. say they aren't ready to make a statement at this time, while over at City Hall, people also refused to comment. So far, the only explanation given comes from Paradise Valley Town Manager Kevin Burke: "The town is embarking on the installation of license plate readers," that will allegedly be used to help track a stolen car or a vehicle involved in an Amber Alert.

That will fit right in with the cell-phone towers around Flagstaff masquerading as pine trees.

Here's an eye opening quote from a Paradise Valley web page:

"Paradise Valley was the first police department in the nation to institute a traffic safety program using speed measuring devices coupled with still photography and computers to enforce speed laws".

And they are proud of it.

And drilling rigs in California that they disguised as tall buildings.

In LA, the cell towers look like palm trees--sorta.

Just another chapter from George Orwell's novel "1984" George was a bit early with his book, or could it be the people's resistance has finally faded.

Bet the real reason is to reduce Police Force, and easily grab more revenue via tickets mailed from cam footage. Next they will have Drones that can disable your car for unpaid tickets, or if your violating the speed limit, or suspected of breaking some law.
