Entropy wins. Entropy always wins.

Perpetual motion is impossible if there is friction.

Perpetual motion is only possible with unicorn horn dust. Energy in = energy out.

energy in = energy out minus friction loss. There is no perfect transfer of energy. Well maybe at absolute zero temperature. I'm not sure.

He's including friction in the energy out.
Energy out = useful work - all losses due to friction, heat, whatever.
Energy in > useful work

Well, usually I get tired long before friction becomes an issue.

Right! I forgot that friction normally results in heat energy. Good thing there are smarter people than me here. I did say that I wasn't sure so I guess I covered my butt. I probably should always say that I'm not sure.

Closest thing I've seen to "perpetual motion" was a teenager with a smart phone and a lot of carbohydrates. If we could prevent sugar crashes and the need for sleep we, could hamster wheel that resource until age and health wrecks their ability to perform effectively.

In the next post I will show you how its possible for a mass to move in a gravitational field when experiencing an upward force due to the size equal to it's weight.
Or I will discuss why Sponge Bob wears square pants.

Wow you must be a genius! Did your degree come from MID? I've been in the middle of computation for years and you solved it almost immediately.

gravity is in fact free energy. it does not go away, or get used up. just about every device up there was using gravity as its power source. will any of those work in space? nope. not at all. tho, the lack of gravity will allow the inertia to last much longer.
