Then you likely have them blocked somehow, which could be why Todd's not seeing them - Yes, I fully admit that Todd might not be seeing what we're seeing. If that is the case, then there is STILL no need to blame it all on us and imply flat out SAY, that the only reason we're seeing such images is because we surf pron all day...

Nothing "popped up" when I went to that webpage. All of that NSFW stuff was right on the linked webpage. (Along with EVERYBODY else's computer except yours. Hmmmmm.)
And I have posted in about a half dozen threads in the past week or so.

Look, this is real simple people, I didn't post NSFW because I can't see anything that is NSFW. Once someone said that THEY had seen somethine NSFW and it was confirmed by someone whose opinion actually matters, I both posted the change AND editted the original post.
Would you mind telling me.....just for laughs...what more you want so those of us enjoying the actual pictures can get back to the purpose of this thread?

I didn't, take a second look Oky, your first post came AFTER Stimpy, who has as much credibility as Obama does. I'd sooner trust the post of Atilla the Hun; especially when I am looking at the same page and see nothing that qualifies as NSFW. Once someone else, with credibility, chimed in on the issue, I added the warning.

I clicked on the arrow on the right, and scrolled through about 3 pages, and then closed it. I didn't see what everybody is up in arms about, so I went back and clicked it again. When I scrolled DOWN, yes, I saw some relatively mild NSFW fotos. Not really that bad, but bad enough I guess.

How long has it been since the "Girls without Fieros" thread was even posted in? Besides, one could infer, by the thread title alone, what one was going to get in that thread. As for me, I doubt you'll find a post of mine in that particular thread newer then 4 years old (which would make sense, when my now 5 year old was 1, I didn't much care what he saw on Papa's computer). And, much like Brennan, I'm totally willing to believe that Todd posted the original link in good faith, having no idea that there was anything wrong with it. My problem came only when he chose to mock those of us who did see something wrong with it.

OK, I have no axe to grind with you...but irrespective as to when it was last posted in...it is STILL there. Some people don't seem to understand child psychology . If a 5 year old saw those pictures, they wouldn't have a CLUE what might be 'naughty' about them, because the 'naughtiness' only becomes apparent when an adult MAKES it so, and TELLS them so, by making a fuss about it. Those pictures on the link are NOT pronograhy at all...unless the eye of the beholder tells their brain it IS . The poses are no more provocative than the millions of photos of lingerie on TV and Home Catalogues. It is only when a child is made aware that it might be 'naughty' by the adult SAYING it is naughty, that a problem might occur. NOBODY saw 'titties', unless they scrolled further down than the item that was linked to/subject of the thread. Why did you scroll down?

I will disagree, but I appreciate the compliment. I think most of the posters here were not mad at Todd for the initial post--only the aftermath.

I agree that there wasn't much to be considered NSFW, but it's a necessary warning. A colleague of mine goes on the Chive at work sometimes. That is much less SFW and nobody cares.
To those who think no browsing is okay at work--I am allowed to and will browse sometimes because it's a nice "breather" from work. Sitting down and collecting data and hammering out equations and reading publications and books and solving problems gets pretty draining. A 10 minute break puts me back on track. Of course, I don't leave work until I finish my day's goal and then some so I get more than my 40 hours of work in a week. I don't count time at work. I just work until I'm done. Adding value to the company is a priority, and sometimes infrequent browsing can add productivity by waking me up and putting me back on task.

It would never have gotten that far if it wasn't for the fact that Stimpy is the one who brought up the Pron issue. I totally disregarded his post (SOP). It took a few posts before I realized that yes, some people might really be seeing something inappropriate. But by then it became a circle jerk.
